Re: 3DO

Would be very nice to have this core on the Mister.
I was owning one back in the days and I'm sad to have sold it. Fining one now is hardly not possible or it costs a lot.
I'll really appreciate a 3DO core as well !
Thank you in advance for your work on this.

Re: How to Reduce Fan Voltage?

To my recollection, the IO board has a jumper to set the fan voltage to 5.0 volts or 3.3 volts. My set has already a switch to select one or the other speed, I guess this switch is connected in lieu and place of the jumper. Pay attention that maybe not all 5.0 volts fans are capable to start to turn with 3.3 volts. Edit: Found the confirmation of t...

Re: Bug Report NES_20230223

Thank you so much @GreyRogue, I now do confirm that the game works as it should once the Disk Swap option is not set to AUTO but to FDS button. I missed this info. Thank you for having shared it I even prefer to have this option set to 'manual' to flip the disk manually by hitting a button to simulate the real behavior which is not automatic. Thank...

Re: Bug Report NES_20230223

I haven't checked the checksum, but the version of Gall Force I have seems to work fine. Arkanoid 2 had glitched graphics, so it's either a bad ROM or a bad header. Could you please check and share your MD5 ? The one I tried was w/o header, I found another version with the header but still same issue there. Below is the one with header that I'm ta...

Re: Neo Geo CD Core

Are you using filezilla or some similar program to copy the main mister? If yes, that's the problem, the main mister sent by filezilla gives a lot of problems, try removing the SD card from the mister and copying main mister directly from a computer. Core can be copied with filezilla At least to avoid issue with Filezilla, the transfer needs to be...

Re: Bug Report NES_20230223

I do confirm the issue with Gall Force - Eternal Story (.FDS Japanese version) Cannot play the game due to a kind of pause every 1-2 seconds, this pause is released by puching a button of the pad, but starts again after 1-2 seconds etc etc. Not all the screen freezes, only the screen with the ship. Below there is still some activities running (blin...

Re: Neo Geo CD Core

Put "top-sp1.bin" in games / NEO GEO folder Put .chd (i used Ironclad.chd) in games / NEO GEO folder About that, yes top-sp1.bin(bios) must be in NEOGEO folder, but you can create a NeoGeoCD folder to put your .CHDs and not mix with your MVS roms. Better organized this way, at least for me. Agree , i didnt tried , but yes , a separate fo...

Re: Floppys and Virus

Maybe I'm wrong but instead of selecting an .ADF file, if you select a .ZIP file (where the .ADF is inside) I think that the core cannot write on this disk.
If is this well the case it could be a workaround to the ReadOnly option.

Re: MDA Upgrade to Hercules

I'm maybe wrong but to me this is true that at the beginning, the XT keyboards were having "only" 10 function keys.
I guess that the 2 additional function keys were introduced once the AT came on the market, so the extended keyboard were also used on the XT where some apps took the benefit of this, like WP5.1.

@dshadoff,

Correct this is what I was meaning.

Oh really ? I was not aware of this. Good that you confirm that this happens also on original hardware and is a normal behavior, thank you !.

So, all the games listed by Jason X are working as they should (at least with the latest version of the core)

Tried on my side and Air Zonk, Laplace no Ma, and Blazing Lazers work.
But I've noticed an issue with Air Zonk (not Super Air Zonk then)
While Zonk (I guess it is the name of the hero :-) ) is on the top of the screen, a black line appear and disapear once Zonk move down.

@jca, +1 This is also the 1st test that I did, and on my side, Autocad showed the same screen as what you got. I also tried different Bioses and same results. I think we've to be p...

Re: Right Way to Create a Blank HDD With PCEm?

The vhds created in PCem or in Linux here are not mountable in Windows 10 - presumably because of FAT16. Do you know of any simple/direct way of doing this (ie not via a VM or PCem)? On my side, what I do to add/remove files to my PC-XT HDD, I use Power ISO which works very well (with FAT16 among others). It even works if I mount the HDD when it i...

Hello again @640KB,

I've just tested the latest GLaBIOS [Version 0.2.2 Release - 12/09/22] and I do confirm that now EDIT/Qbasic work both as they should !
Many thanks for your hard work and for this amazing bios !.

@moroder,

I haven't tried yet this new game (and if I'll do, I'm not sure that I'll reach the world 3 :-( ), but I'm just thinking to something which could potentially create this issue. Have you tried to removed the D-Cache in the A1200 system settings ?

@jca,
You should see the same behavior with Qbasic (which is needed to run EDIT actually)
They are many other bioses where EDIT (or Qbasic) works.

Your video mode settings (except that I had to change the resolution to 1024*768 as this is the native res of my VGA monitor -> still issue in high res. Maybe the issue is because I'm usin...

Thank you for your answer.

I'll try with the MiSTer v220723. I'm currently using the last one v221129.
The Minimig core version is the same however

Non it happens directly once the game enters into the multiball mode or if I change the resolution with F9/F10.

Pinball Illusion AGA, Display Issue in High-Res

Hello everyone, I'm participating to a game competition where the game in question is Pinball Illusion. As usual, I wanted to play the game on the Mister with the Minimig core. This game is an A1200 using the AGA capabilities and also has during the multiball the use of the high res mode. Which can also be selected during the game with F9 or F10. T...
