Re: PC98 Core

Faithless wrote: Sat Feb 20, 2021 2:39 am Hi everyone!

Recent Mister user and I'm having a blast with the x68000 core! Thanks Puu for the amazing work there!

Now I would like to give the PC98 a go. Problem is that I'm unable to unpack the qar file to generate the bios. Could someone please send me the mkbios script?

Thanks!

You wouldn't have two C64 directories, one in / media / fat / c64 and the other in / media / fat / Games / C64?

Shmuppen wrote: Fri Feb 05, 2021 12:10 pm I dont get it to work.
I tried to load both TAP and T64.
When a tape is loaded I write load and get the "press play on tape". Then in the menu i choose Tape/play/pause and nothing happens.

what am I doing wrong?
1) load (on screen C64)
2) Via OSD menu, load your tapefile

that's all

2 will technically on some level reduce input lag by likely unnoticeable amounts if your monitor can take advantage of that, but it can increase the chance you will get display problems. The main advantage is the smooth scrolling, if your display doesn't have issues with it. I am afraid to change here vsync and it changes for everything else and n...

; Set to 1 for automatic HDMI VSync rate adjust to match original VSync. ; Set to 2 for low latency mode (single buffer). ; This option makes video butter smooth like on original emulated system. ; Adjusting is done by changing pixel clock. Not every display supports variable pixel clock. ; For proper adjusting and to reduce possible out of range p...

Excellent, thanks for that! Could you please confirm the location for it?

I have placed it within the folder /media/fat/bootrom

but it didn't work.

Do we need a SDRAM file as well like for the x6800 core?

Thanks a lot!

you need to rename it Zet98.rom in this folder
