Retrobit Tribute USB

it just doesn't recognize any button to use as osd menu automatically

I always have to go press on mister board.

I don't have this issue. I think you need to remap in the Mister main menu. I chose one of the little buttons towards the top for the OSD function.

Re: Nintendo 64 Input Situation

Hi all, I am having issues with getting the rumble functionality to work on my NSO N64 (using bluetooth) and the Brawler 64 NSO edition (using both d and x input modes). Am I doing anything wrong or are these controllers not able to vibrate yet? I have the Brawler 64 NSO, and the Tribute 64, and rumble currently does not work on the Brawler, but d...

Agreed. Dualshock 4 is a great choice. Personally, I am not a big fan of thumbsticks though and I have started using my Thrustmaster Hotas 4 PS/PC version and loving it with all the fine control. It duplicates all the functions of the DS4 minus the rumble, but you have to press three buttons on it when plugging in the USB cable to make it work righ...

The Continue gives it away, although I don't have any experience with this game so I don't know which is correct. Other than the Continue, and the obvious changes in the pictures on the left and the position of the vehicle on the right, I can't spot any major differences. The sharpness differences change throughout the picture areas, so that to me ...

(The Mac didn’t really have much in the way of custom chips, so the Amiga emulation setup is very accurate, since they share CPUs) Which Amiga model, and which Mac model is Shapeshifter emulating using the native CPU? Re: N64 Core

P.S. The latest core fixes the graphics in NHL99 and probably most other games that had issues, so whatever you were trying to get a scaler mode for will probably look better now (once you remove the N64 section from your INI file). Also, anything at the top section in the INI file is a default, but in the subsequent sections, you can override any ...

Re: N64 Core

If I comment the [SNES] section it will display at 320x240 because of this part of mister.ini: video_mode=320,8,32,24,240,4,3,16,6048 Nope. When vga_scaler=0, it is using the native signal. I bet if you compare the output with SNES before and after commenting it, it will look identical. Like Hectic said, ignore what mode it says it is. My suggesti...

Below is a part(cut the main portion) of my mister.ini that works very well with my Sony Wega 29' CRT, as you can see I made modelines for almost all systems I'm using:

So for almost all of those, you don't need any of those settings. Try commenting out a section like [SNES] and see if it still displays correctly.

Anyone here knows a good modeline resolution for N64 in a CRT tv? I was using 320x240 but with enhanced pak games the res upped to 480i in some games, I need a good Hi res mode 480i. Is this modeline a interlaced mode? video_mode=640,16,64,80,448,3,10,6,22250 You shouldn't need a modeline at all. That defeats part of the purpose of using a CRT TV....

Re: N64 Core

Im having a bit of a weird issue trying to get the core running at a decent resolution on my CRT diamondtron monitor. Just a quick easy answer is to turn on forced_scandoubler=1 and turn off the scaler. You can do this under the core name. I am not sure if you are using HDMI or the analog VGA output. Something like: [n64] forced_scandoubler=1 vga_...

hope somebody feel like in the same boat! and share his experience! Using original hardware will always have a special place you can't get anywhere else. For example, the nostalgic look of the Atari 2600 sitting in front of you and looking through your case of cartridges and then inserting one and flipping the switch and possibly getting a glitch ...

Re: The “Cycle Accurate” Conundrum and Is There a List of Cores That Are?

This is all well said. For me personally, the MiSTer is superior for these reasons, many of which were already mentioned above: SNAC: I can use real controllers with it including obscure ones like light guns with no lag. Latency: There is little to no overhead depending on the situation. In the case of NES, I can play Duck Hunt because there is no ...

Then you may need to check if you're using the stable MiSTer or the "unstable" one. Only the unstable MiSTer will see/read the N64 database file, which will setup the N64 system setting at the game startup. Without that, this game won't load (I had the exact same issue as you). Thanks! This is almost certainly the problem. I didn't reali...
