Re: Think a cost effective s-video only io board will be made?
I don't have any problem with my IO board I see "There is an issue with Commodore 1702 monitor that blinks signal, so don’t buy if you use that monitor." is this just for PAL 50hz 1702? or Both NTSC/60 and PAL/50? I have an NTSC/60 1702 and thats the primary interest to me if it works on this one.. I shot a video of the antonio board on ...

Re: Think a cost effective s-video only io board will be made?
Does anyone know of an adapter that DOES work with the 1702 commodore monitors? or maybe using some-kind of intermediary device?

Re: Think a cost effective s-video only io board will be made?
I also think the problem you have with your IO Board and some monitors are the lack of capacitors (or 75Ohm resister) on the outputs and there being some drop in impedance that trips the sleep command to the chip. Its probably something you could fix pretty easy. I don't have any problem with my IO board I see "There is an issue with Commodor...

Re: Intellivision Core (INTV)
Ok, tried the original controller with D9 adapter in the jzintv emulator on Windows, and it's working perfectly with 16 directions. I can only conclude that this is a MiSTer issue then, that it only allows 8 directions. The really crazy thing is that it worked briefly on MiSTer with 16 directions, and then never again after that :? That is strange...

Re: C64 core maturity vs alternatives
The computer speed is what you would expect for the mode (i.e. PAL runs at 50hz despite having 60hz video out) .. so it runs "normally" basically what you would expect it to run like, what he has done is put in a light weight OSSC-esque mini scaler for analog video into the U64 and it works quite well.

Re: C64 core maturity vs alternatives
With the recent slew of updates on MiSTer, how does it stack up now? REU support is there, IEC connectable, SID fixes.. I still use the Ultimate 64 for one really amazing feature for me, PAL60 ... Since I use my U64 on a real CRT (an NTSC/North American 1702 CRT specifically - I live in the USA) .. trying to get PAL games etc to display is not nor...

Re: HD Support for WB 2.04 and 1.3.3?
Instant Music by Electronic Arts has no WHDLOAD slave and its from the A1000 era .. so it only works with chipram .. and no more than 512kb .. and 1.3 max .. its a fun (all be it simple) music "game-thing" .. you put fastram in the system and Instant Music will crash.

Re: HD Support for WB 2.04 and 1.3.3?
You can fake it - use a modified Kickstart 1.3 that supports the A600 IDE controller. this is what I did .. I wanted to mimic my old original A500 setup with WB 1.3 and an external SCSI hard drive .. this nearly perfectly replicates that .. save for the fact the drive is IDE not SCSI as the Amiga sees it but that point is generally irrelevant .. V...

Re: New distribution system for Jotego cores
now the beta core is downloaded with jtupdater and the key to unlock it is downloaded from patreon. The update_all script needs this to be disabled by default and "opt-in" by the patreon support themselves .. so these beta cores that require a key are NOT downloaded by default.. put up instructions on the patreon page how to turn it on a...

Re: New distribution system for Jotego cores
Needs to be opt-in .. this will cause confusion and angst .. if you are a patron then sure .. "opt-in" and get those locked downloads ... and enjoy them with your key .. other wise the default should NOT be to download these locked cores at all and only fetch his fully open/public cores ..

This core really could use a color enhancement .. maybe color based on cell generation, age etc. or something .. IDK just think it would look really amazing.. (if someone is in there tinkering)

Would probably make more sense to set up the core to let it see the SID files directly on the SD card with a program like https://sourceforge.net/projects/sidplay64/ and how the Ultimate 1541 uses the With REU & Command Interface mode with Sidplay64 .. (it might even work now with the recent core updates .. I have not tried it myself)

Re: Retrodriven Script Alternative?
Would be nice if the update_all script included the ability to update wallpapers like retrodriven did.. anyone know of any alternatives to that? Google the images you like up, load them up to the MiSTer. Do we really need a script for Wallpaper? No but it certainly was a quality of life kind of thing with its ease and being built in .. IDK one cou...

Re: Macintosh Plus Setup
There's a System Picker app installed and accessible after you first boot into 7.5. Where is this ? part of one of the vhd images? SavageTaylor's images (linked earlier in this thread) have the application installed, but only one OS present. In the WIP .vhd I've been sharing, there are 5 different OSes (covering most of what you'd want to use on a...

Re: Faster CPU for Minimig core?
I thank you guys for educating me on how FPGA's work - this is all very interesting! So then why not replicate a buffee or PI storm and have a option in the core to use the ARM CPU to emulate the amiga CPU at a much faster speed (as thats what those projects do) I think something like that is in the works .. but you didnt hear it from me and thats...

Re: Better performance and 080 support?
If the Mister could tap in to say the 080/AMMX functionality, it would make life much easier for software developers. I am just going to throw this out there and guess that you wont even likely see AMMX/080 make its way to the Mister and et-all till you see it first hit WinUAE/FS-UAE ... and the winds that blow in those parts don't look favorable ...

Re: Faster CPU for Minimig core?
so I am gonna show just how much I dont understand FPGA stuff now but cant the code be opened and the mhz section just be changed to a new higher speed? There is no "code" .. and a FPGA has no master CPU like a raspberry Pi has, this is not like a software emulator that runs on a commodity CPU which on the fly translates every instructio...

Well the Mister minimig core could use some speed, having now (for fun and to compare apples to apples as best as I can) I setup Coffin R58 on both the V4SA and the Mister I find the mister painfully slow for a great number of things like SMB shares, web stuff (this is not surprising since these things are demanding and the minimig is only a speedy...

I absolutely adore the early Mac aesthetic. Right-click > open in new tab to prevent the forum software from scaling the image and ruining the dithering patterns. what game is that MAZE one? .. I love a good rouge clone.. Yes I know what you mean about aesthetic , try getting some hypercard decks from archive.org .. I could browse those for hours.
