Time 'wrong' From the Internet
Just noticed (which is an indicator of how observant I am) that the time is wrong on my MiSTer, it's out by an hour, presumably since we switched to BST here in the Uk a few weeks back.
Now it is ZERO of an issue really but it's annoying me, can I alter it? Never noticed an option in my years of having it?

I might be a bit of an idiot. Had it all the wrong way round - ha late night. Just a few more tweaks and hopefully sorted it....

Re: Extending buttons and LEDS for case
Actually, although it's quite tricky to tell from the pics. In terms of your 7 pin socket on pic 1, which pin are you adding the voltage to?

Re: Extending buttons and LEDS for case
No, I can't get the external disk light to work. I tried with the Amstrad core loading via a .dsk rom and the middle light on the IO board flashes a few times but the external one does not. I even tried it wired up direct to rule out my PCB. Need to revisit it today. Be great to hear how yours works out.

I may be an idiot.... it seems to just pulse in Menu... loaded a core and it's now a solid light.

Extending buttons and LEDS for case
So, this has been an ongoing project for a while but finally had time this weekend to do some work on it. I 3D printed a wedge case for my MiSTer, spraypainted it, and altered the design of the files I got online so I could incorporate panel-mounted buttons and LEDs. Then I got carried away and designed my first ever circuit board for the LEDs - no...

What a game. Loved it, classic 1980 Atari if you haven't seen it. Would kill for a core! Can't image there are many boards left lying around though

I had FB Terminal and Direct Vid on and they worked. Turn them off and they don't obviously. Certainly the Terminal.

Wow, what a pleasant surprise from JT today. Spent too long (and too much) on this and Trak & Field in my youth.

Re: Amstrad Core
Quick question as the CPC was the first computer I was ever online with (Prestel. Micronet 800) in the 80s. Is it possible to use the Amstrad core to 'dial' BBSs like you can with the ST and Amiga cores? Any help greatly appreciated...

Yeah for the reasons described by espo83 above. It just tends to make the solder go where you'd ideally like it to go

Re: Looking for tips on soldering to USB contacts
Yeah I actually meant with the iron rather than a heat gun. I only have a cheap heat gun and never truly trust the temps.. I'd be inclined to douse it in flux and flick the iron over it if you can get at it. It's prob failing from cracked joints from stress, bound to be a mechanical problem I'd bet. If you do go the wire soldering route, take some ...

Re: Looking for tips on soldering to USB contacts
You can do it! Soldering is the solution to everything. If you are unsure about soldering surface mount check out GadgetUK on youtube. he has tons of soldering repairs. Flux is your friend for sure. Go slow, it's good you are using a decent iron as opposed to charging in with a 12 quid job from ebay. If your eyes are going like mine, spend about 15...

Re: MAME folder
Also worth pointing out, in case you haven't realised, Mister only runs relatively few arcade cores - 'Mame' is probably a bit confusing in that respect - Mister does not run the mame collection, if that makes sense? I'm not sure it does, just woken up!

Re: Amstrad Core
Yeah I built a Daemonbite adapter and use an original Competition Pro or Zipstik with my Mister for CPC / Amiga type stuff. Easy to do and worth so much in terms of getting that original feel back.

Re: Amstrad Core
Ah, keep the Amstrad if you can. You will regret selling it one day. I have a 464 and a 6128 and they are going nowhere. I also use my mister on a Panasonic 14" for Amstrad and others and it looks great. It's actually sat on top of an Amstrad colour monitor and they look identical when on.

Yeah just on a CRT but I'll check via HDMI in the morning. Wonder if it's to do with fb_terminal=0 - will have a play around.

Prob a newb question from a non-newb - F9
I think I might be losing my mind here. In the past I have got to Linux with F9, I am sure I have, but now F9 does nothing whatsover? What am I doing wrong? Do I need to have something enabled I may have turned off in some ini or other over the past two years?

What files are in your neogeo.zip? Is it just?
uni-bios.rom
000-lo.lo
sfix.sfix
Or do you have more?

Re: Blackwine's MRA Based NeoGeo Core Updated
I get the cross hatch even if I try loading a game that doesn't exist now, so I kinda think my bios/roms are working.
