Re: Best Controllers to Use?
I just splurged and grabbed a DualSense and a Bluetooth 5.0 adapter to use as my main “all-purpose” controller and I’m really liking it. Latency over BT feels as good as my various 2.4g wireless controllers.

Re: usb hub no longer reads usb drives
Is the hub powered? If so it may be that the power supply fails (but it sounds not very likely to me). It's the 2.1 hub, so it's powered and a y-cable comes off the power supply and goes into the de10 nano and the usb hub separately. I’d look into a different y splitter cable. Sometimes those can drop voltage. Maybe yours has degraded somewhat and...

Is there by any chance a plain text list of all of the games that come included in this pack somewhere? I found the 'titles.csv' file on Github that has it, but I was hoping to just acquire the game titles by themselves. I also did not find a list of all the games included in the pack. Re: USB hub randomly not turning on?
Glad you got it working! Are you using the power adapter that came with the DE-10 Nano? It could be that you might want to upgrade to something like a 5V 3A or 5V 4A power supply from Meanwell or Triad if so.callanabrown wrote: ↑Mon Jan 31, 2022 5:41 pm Just as a follow up, I'm thinking my problem was to do with power. MiSTerOBS 1.05 has been released ( https://github.com/christopher-roelofs/misterobs/releases/tag/1.05 ) and you can now pull box art for each game into your OBS/SLOBS scenes! You can also pull info such as Game Description, Publisher, Developer, Genre, etc. as well. I utilize a tool called Kruiz Control ( https://github.com/Kruiser8/Kruiz-Control )...

It’d probably be able to be done in a pseudo-emulated form where only one game actually needs to be loaded, but it mimics the functionality close enough? I really don’t know much about the way it works on OG hardware in this case.

It would be great to have saved controller profiles selectable from the OSD when switching between controllers that have the same VID/PID. Switching from a NES to a Genesis controller? Select your Genesis profile and you’re good to go! I talked about this with Sorgelig months ago, but I’m not sure I explained it well enough.

Re: Screen tearing after playing Zelda LTTP for multiple hours.
I have seen some tearing as well in various games, but it was on my AOC monitor and it’s happened with NES, SNES and I believe other cores as well. It’s very intermittent though, and I’m not sure what steps I could take to reproduce it. I know when it did happen, I wasn’t playing for four hours and a reboot always fixed it. I’m also fairly certain ...

True. Filing it under the individual cores is a better idea.dshadoff wrote: ↑Sun May 16, 2021 12:50 pm That would likely be rejected under Main_MiSTer.
It should be filed under the individual core(s) which exhibit this behaviour. Without specifics, it won't be examined.
But to be clear, you would be asking for a feature (not a bugfix) - and that may easily be rejected.

Is it possible to backup just the MiSTer's "system", not the entire SD card, being on Windows? I mean, I know I can just copy the visible directories (sans roms), but there is still some invisible stuff which matters? If you’re in Windows you could just use samba share. Edit your smb config file on the MiSTer and make a share for the roo...

Do you have an 802.11ac router? If so ungang the 2.4ghz and 5ghz connections in the router (make them have two separate SSID's). That can clear up a lot of issues. And try either of the SSIDs to see which one works better, in my experience the 2.4ghz one is more reliable with the same adapter you have. But I still had problems regardless. I gave u...
