Re: improving external usb hhd reliability

Someone previously mentioned problems when HD go to "sleep" and also provided a "solution" by sending a command to the HD to not stop the spindle but this will only work if the HD supports this command.

Thanks to the developers.
I have no problem with the set 1 but no luck with set 2 besides a buzzing sound.

Re: Macintosh Plus Setup

This is the correct site, for the images take them from http://www.savagetaylor.com/downloads/ The VMac VHDs are not compatible with the core as it uses SCSI. I tried before without success, same with Basilisk. The images from the site mentioned contain only a reduced install of the OS. What I did what to reinstall using floppy images for full inst...

The core supports big HDs but cannot format them. There are 2GB images working, look in the old Atari forum for the links.

The Requested Topic Does Not Exist

In Computer -> C64-> Sid Audio filter produces this error.
It is really annoying as it makes you think that there is something new in C64.

Re: 32-bit cores

During my short lunch break I started to boot Solaris. I got a warning regarding last shutdown more recent than current time (Y2K?).
Last line displayed Hostname: solo.
I did not have time to figure out what to do next. May be ^D?
Now I also figured out that the sos archive is Sun OS.

It took me a while to figure it out. You have to type the official name exactly as it is.

Re: 32-bit cores

He already has a MISTer implementation on his ftp site (http://temlib.org/pub/mister/SS/) which boots but so far I have been unable to do anything as the zips for NextStep, Solaris and another OS are password protected.

Re: Coaxial RCA S/PDIF from the MiSTer/addonboard?

I do not think it will solve his problem: his amp has 3 inputs and I suppose he wants to leave the connections on at all time USB for PC, optical for PS4 which leaves only coaxial free.

Re: Rememotech MTX ported to MiSTer by retrovader [Yo_Me]

MISTer mystery: Beta 3 is suddenly working. The only thing I did was to power on my MISTer and now it boots from the VHD. On my first attempt I only did a cold reboot of MISTer but did not power it off/on.
Now time to learn how to use it.

Re: Rememotech MTX ported to MiSTer by retrovader [Yo_Me]

Try the key above the Enter Key "|" Thanks, that's the correct key. But not much progress made: I get bad sector error on the B drive. I suppose it is due to the fact I am using a 4GB SD card. As there is a new version of the core supporting VHD I did not check the SD card problem. First thing I noticed when using the new core is that th...

Re: Rememotech MTX ported to MiSTer by retrovader [Yo_Me]

Good to see a new core! I tested the Beta02 on a 4GB SD card and it worked. Alas, at this time it seems to be useless when using a US keyboard: where is the : key? From the original Rememotech site: : is mapped to # It uses the UK keyboard layout. UK keyboard layout info: The # symbol is replaced by the £ symbol and a 102nd key is added next to the...
