Re: S-Video and Composite Over Component Output! (Custom Cores)
The O2 has some 'pulsing' on the video. I'm using s-video on the 1702. Ah, not sure why the tuned value wasnt in there, ill fix that. Too many updates over the last couple days :(. Sorry I thought I had checked all of them before I posted it. EDIT: Fixed and tested on my 1702, I've updated the Y/C Build with the new version. Niiiiiiiice....

Thank you for the updates!! Since you asked for requests, I would like to see Pac-Man, Ms Pac , Dig Dug and Donkey Kong. The 1702 is perfect for standing the monitor vertically

Re: S-Video and Composite Over Component Output! (Custom Cores)
Thank you Mike for making these custom cores to use S-video. I have 2 Mitsubishi 33" Megaview PVM's, 2 Sony 19" PVM's, and about a half dozen monitors with component inputs. I gotta say that I am really enjoying playing my MiSTer on my Commodore 1702 monitor. This is to me true nostalgia. I grew in the 80's playing on home computers and c...

Re: S-Video and Composite Over Component Output! (Custom Cores)
Does this adapter/circuit have the same problems/incompatibility with the Commodore 1701/1702 montiors that your other composite adapter has ? I don't know because I have not that monitor to test. But someone with that monitor can try. If you want to send me one, I can test it on my 1702 and let you know. If it works I'll buy it LOL. Right now I'm...

Re: ALG (American Laser Games)
The amiga controlled an external device for the audio and video which was a laserdisc player.
Maybe the mister can control something like a raspberry pi to handle the AV.
There's a device that does that right now for laserdisc arcade games called dexter

Re: Donkey Kong: Walking Sound Hack?
Another sound issue I've noticed. The 'boom' sound when mario gets hit by an object or when DK is beating his chest is missing when you are walking. If you are standing still you can hear it. The original arcade game you can always hear it.

Re: Qbert Speech Sound
That is great, looks like an FPGA implementation is more feasible than I thought. Looks like it works with analog synthesis (formant filters) though, so that makes it more complicated to translate to FPGA. Relevant uses of this chip in relation to MiSTer: Tandy/Radio Shack TRS-80 Speech Module Colorware's Real Talker voice synthesizer (SC-01) for ...

Re: Qbert Speech Sound
Another odd bug in the Qbert core is when played in vertical orientation on my MISTercade (TATE), Qbert seems to gradually get higher and higher as he hops around, to the point where he’s not landing on the cubes in the right spot anymore. But when played in the horizontal orientation on my MISTer kit, he’s orientated correctly on the cubes as he ...

This site has a stock pile of NOS speech chips. They are only $10 each and I would be willing to buy a couple and send them to whom ever decaps the chips for FPGA.

Anybody experiencing sound issues with this game? Seems to be a buzzing sound Which I don't believe is supposed to be part of the game.

Ran the update and seems the walking sound is fixed.
Now if can just fix the "how high can you get?" and saving pauline jingle, that would be epic.

Re: MiSTress - Conversion Kit for Amiga cases
The A500 is the most common and arguably the cheapest amiga produced. Make sense this would be available for the A500. Sure its big and bulky but it does have the numeric keypad that you would need for some ao486 games.

Re: Are PVMs still unique?
I own 2 PVMs. I think they look great but I personally wouldn't pay more then $200-300. The real advantage is able to view between NTSC/PAL. You can save some money and get a VGA monitor and do the same thing. You won't get 240p but if you are using it just for mister then it shouldn't matter. If you insist on having 240p, then you can get a consum...
