Re: Original controllers - SNAC vs. USB?
This module is clocked at 50Mhz and it divides the clock by 256 for the joystick state counter which results in 195.3Khz (0.00512ms per state). The joystick state counter counts from 0-255 and it saves the joystick buttons at state 0-6: 256 x 0.00512ms = 1.31ms. I have talked with the coders and basically they did that way because basically is leg...

Re: Original controllers - SNAC vs. USB?
The only splitter has some minimal lag is NeoGeo, but can be about 40ns lag. Nanoseconds, not micro second and never miliseconds as USB

Re: Original controllers - SNAC vs. USB?
SNAC8 is an extension of SNAC6 (IO <= 6.0) and SNAC7 (IO >= 6.1). So it has same zero lag. It also works with official cores (but without OSD control and one player only).

Re: antoniovillena.es
Yes. You can plug directly to the IO board. I recommend do the MOD after receive the kit to correct align the pins. Attached a picture with detail on 2x1 female header.

Re: antoniovillena.es
- looks less "pro" than the official case (plexi versus metal) - it's too small to put a big fan -- the provided one is just the size of the FPGA chip but probably sufficient. I don't use it for the time being, I'll see if that's necessary. -Official case is FR4 made, not metal. -The fan has the size of the heatsink and it's attached to ...

Re: antoniovillena.es
If I'm not planning to use the de10-nano alone, are the 2 pin still needed or is enough to just open the circuit? If are needed are they included in the kit? No, these pins are not needed at all. If it's important to you the ON/OFF switch just go to complete MiSTer where mod is included. Because they are not included in the kit or assembly instruc...

Re: antoniovillena.es
Hi Antonio, I'm interested in your mister case kit. From where is powered the usb hub? And are the instructions for the power switch provided in the order? The USB is powered from 5V main power. For the power switch work you need modify the de10 nano. Just open the circuit on the jack connector and use 2 pin male right angle like in the picture. T...

Re: Direct video question - VGA to S-Video
I sell also these kinds of encoders, here: https://www.antoniovillena.es/store/product/vga-composite-s-video-adapter/ Is that I/O Board only? I am using Direct Video as I have no room for the I/O Board in my custom MiSTer case. Some people have used with HDMI->VGA adapter. But it doesn't work on all adapters. To check you need 5V input on pin 9 of...
