Yes, that's fine. I'll test drive the changes myself for a bit first to refine it.

Re: FDD Support Based on ao486 Implementation
I think that each feature is ultimately conditioned by the type of use that is made of the core , what you find convenient now may not be so convenient later on, and vice versa. It's more the fact that it is different than every other computer core. Look at ao486, Apple II, C64x minimig, etc.. So it stood out to me. It bothers me enough to submit ...

Re: FDD Support Based on ao486 Implementation
Can the floppy load option be moved to be the item in the OSD?
Most cores have loading disks as the first option, and it's common to switch disks if playing with floppies.

Re: Good PSU setup for MiSTer Arcade1up mods?
The "simple" alternative would be to have a 220V power supply outlet into the cab with a switch. But it makes installing and setup more complex. Something like this: https://www.diyretroarcade.com/products/emi-filter-to-interior-surge-strip-or-power-source-on-and-off-button But what bothers me about those is I don't use 110V nor the US st...

Good PSU setup for MiSTer Arcade1up mods?
I've tested the power consumption of my Arcade1Up converted cabinets, and realized the current PSU I have is insufficient. Wonder if anybody with good knowledge of this can give some advice: Is it better to use a single PSU, converting 12V to 5V where relevant Or would using two PSUs + an extension chord be better I've used a"kill-a-watt"...

It's easy to do as a hardware mod, you just wire the 2nd stick to P1 buttons.
Obviously you sacrifice the P2 joystick for this ...

Re: Rotating Horizontal Cores?
I have an old build of a rotated Apple 2 and Atari2600 cores somewhere. I use them ocassionally on one of my arcade cabs with a spinner (to use as paddle).
The aspect rario is all wrong though, and I had to turn on a compiler flag which I think adds latency (enable framebuffer). If anybody is interested I can try to dig them out.

Megaman Legends is decent, better than the N64 version IIRC. Never played the Tron Bonne spinoff;

Re: Would EasyRPG be Possible?
I would love to see somebody writing a port that uses the FPGA properly, such as accelerating critical parts of the code Things such a tile engine etc could be done as custon GPU routines.
Obviously that's a huge amount of work, but that would be truly usimg the DE10 hardware.

Re: Extend PCXT Development to Improve MiSTer Core (DeMiSTify Ports)
Latest compilation used 60 M9K blocks. How many does it have MiST ? It has 66, so looks like it should work https://github.com/mist-devel/mist-board/wiki/TheBoard I think I still have Quartus 13 installed in an old PC, so I can load the file and run a compile. How does it read HDD images though? Do we need a physical serial drive? I can at least c...

Re: Next Generation FPGA Hardware's Potential for Existing MiSTer Cores?
That's much harder than doing screenshots, because latency and storage speed will be stressed and it might not work well.
It's better to use an external device that can capture HDMI or VGA output and acurately reflect the native speed of MiSTer.

Re: SCUMMVM
 Really? One would think that a Verilog implementation would be far easier than doing that. And take less of the scarce resources of the core too. Actually the existing full HDL implementation of OPL3 is much less efficient; it was discussed in this thread https://misterfpga.org/viewtopic.php?t=890 Original Z80 based OPL3 takes in total 132...

Re: N64 Core Possibility? (Update! Robert Is Working On This Core!)
Regarding hybrid emulation, even if it did work, imo it would kind of defeat the purpose of FPGA. The goal for FPGA imo is to 100% replicate the hardware in HDL to preserve for future generations. A hybrid approach opposes this. That's debatable. Yes keeping a core as 100% HDL will help port it to other boards, but there is nothing wrong with taki...

Re: SCUMMVM
Would it be possible to use the FPGA for the OPL3 sound chip and the MIDI synthesizer, so SCUMMVM wouldn't need such addons? Possible yes, but you'd need somebody to write the core for that and run a custom SCUMMVM fork that can use it. It would be very niche so I don't see many programmers willing to take that route; unless somebody active with S...

Re: Terasic and Intel Deliver Cutting-Edge Platform for Intel Pathfinder for RISC-V
I apologize for my ignorance, but how much more powerful would this platform be compared to the MiSTer? It seems to only have 4,000 more LEs. Also, is it true that there's no HDMI? I'm not well versed on what makes a good FPGA gaming platform so what are your guy's thoughts? It's not more powerful, but a different mix of features for different pur...

I took another look at a long play video and it looks like a Megaman type of game where you decide which level you want to play next on a hex type progression map. Ishat right? It also looks as if you put experience into your abilities. It's a mix of megaman, a shmup, and gunstar heroes. The first part of the game is linear, you get a "bad&qu...

No. This has been attempted with Minimig with mixed results... so something more complex like the N64 chips won't work.
Best to assume the N64 will not be viable on the DE10 to avoid unecessary hype. We might get Saturn, which is already amazing.

It's out of stock now, but I use the SNES Mini travel case. It's super cheap ($20) and fits a MiSTer, a controller, and many cables.
The Genesis mini case might work as well - just make sure to get one that doesn't use foam inserts to have more room.
