I am doing some progress here!
I have replaced the command
configure idefsdircache 32k with
configure systemsize 32k
and bingo!! It booted this time! But I am stuck with a new error message when OS 4.2 starts which is 'Please insert disc CROS4'.
I am getting there though

Re: Acorn Archimedes Core
Hi Alkadian, Yes after resetting the core the HDF is still mounted and I have saved the settings just to make sure as you suggested. No I haven't got any error messages after entering manually the commands. Thanks! Hi Alkadian, This is weird, I'm still at work, when I'll have finished (in around 2 hrs) I'll share with you the RISCOS version that I...

Re: Confusion over bootcore / Lastcore etc
Thank you for the guidance. I have changed my Mister.ini file to the following and it works 100% as expected. Spaces in the name are no problem and I did not have to change the location of the mra file for it to work.: ; lastcore - Autoboot the last loaded core (corename autosaved in CONFIG/lastcore.dat) first found on the SD/USB ; lastexactcore -...

Re: Acorn Archimedes Core
Hi Alkadian, After having done the reset, have you checked that your HDF was still mounted ? Between the HDF mount and the Reset Ctrl+Alt+AltGr action, try to save the configuration (so, before the reset) to be sure. Unless you're sure that your HDF was still mounted. When you entered the manually the configure commands, did you get any error ? Hi...

@Alkadian Of course but if you don't mind I'll provide you the link to get it by tomorrow morning (Belgium time). That would be awesome! Many thanks again! Hi Alkadian, As promised, here is the link where you can have access to the HDF that I used. The CROS is zipped but this time, once unzipped, you'll get the .HDF :-) https://mega.nz/folder/VGZA...

Re: SA-1 patched Roms work fine in MiSTer
Maybe this is old news to most of you, but I just stumbled over this project: https://github.com/VitorVilela7/SA1-Root/releases Vitor Vilela patched the code of several SNES Roms that were plagued by slowdowns so that they make use of the SA-1 chip that was in fact a second CPU that ran much faster than the CPU in the SNES. SA-1 was by far the mos...

Many thanks for getting back to me. Sure, no rush and no worries I run in to similar brain issues :D ... HDD 0: CROS42.HDF ... @kathleen, Many thanks for your very clear instructions. Much appreciated! Sorry, just a question. I have got only a CROS42.arc which I have downloaded from one of your previous posts and not a CROS42.HDF. Would you mind s...

Re: Confusion over bootcore / Lastcore etc
Please refer to the notes below which I put together some time ago: 1. Open the mister.ini file in the main SD folder. 2. Look for the line ;bootcore=lastcore. 3. Uncomment it and replace ‘lastcore’ with the .mra file corresponding to the rom you want to start with. For istance if you want to start Galaga, just use bootcore=Galaga.mra. 4. You can s...

@kathleen, Thanks for re-sharing this. Can you please let me know how to mount the CROS42.arc? @Alkadian, I need to retrieve my notes to tell you how I did it. There is a while now and to be honest my memory makes me default (my brain becomes old :-)) I keep you posted asap. @kathleen, Many thanks for getting back to me. Sure, no rush and no worri...

Yes ! Thanks a lot! But It's still the version with the "insert CROS4 disc" error, I was looking for the corrected version. Re: PMD85 Core
@shark800, I have just tested this core. It' s very cool! I like it a lot. I have just tried a couple of games which are Arkanoid and Jet Set Willy (Willie Walker) and they run very well included the sound. I do love the green colour screen! It reminds my first days with my beloved commodore C64. I have also given you a thumb up on your youtube cha...

First of all thank you so much Jotego for your very much appreciated hard work! Well, I am also one of the lucky ones with no ram issues at all apart from Slammasters which it won't boot. Infact I have got two mister setups with two 128mb ram modules. So I consider myself double lucky  Anyways regarding the PSU query I have got mine which...

It's simply not working for me, I don't know why. EDIT: Got it working - I was attempting to set up the key swap between two different keyboards, since the one I use with Mister has no 'Print Screen' button. I just needed to have both keyboards plugged in at the same time to swap them. Thanks for the help! I am gald that you got it working at the ...

Re: How to config VHD for New Acorn Atom Core
I have just placed an updated core in releases. It now allows LOAD and SAVE as it should have done. I also created a boot.vhd in Windows 10 disk management, Create, Initialise and format FAT32. I placed all the AtomArchive folders and files on it and it worked. I also formatted an 8Gb SD card with Fat 32 and loaded all the AtomArchive folders and ...

Re: Asteroids Core
Ok, thanks! Meantime I have downloaded from GitHub the latest .rbf files for this core. I have just noticed that the names of these new revisions start with the word 'Arcade-' at the beginning. So for instance 'Arcade-Asteroids_20201217.rbf' instead of 'Arcade-Asteroids_20201217.rbf'.

Just to confirm, did you place the .vhd in the folder/media/fat/games/AcornAtom?
Which software are you using in windows?
