Re: CPS2 - slight lag / frame skip in some games
It is possible of course as it has been done. I guess the reasons that it's not actively implemented are: 1. Devs are interested about accuracy, not display compatibility (even though these are not mutually exclusive) 2. It takes time to develop such features and I suspect that many devs feel that making screen compatibility features is a waste of ...

Re: CPS2 - slight lag / frame skip in some games
Ideally cores have a speed up / slow down core speed maybe one hz at a time. Say your display didn't support 55hz, but it's fine with 57hz. Going straight to 60hz or 50 is quite a jump, so the user could increase it to 57hz and get a display. Obviously this is not a simple task to do.

Re: CPS2 - slight lag / frame skip in some games
Not really. Game just runs very slightly faster... Or slower. In fact console versions of Dodonpachi does exactly that, running at exactly 60hz. If it's OK for Cave, it's OK for me :D As for your other comment 60hz switches have to be done per core. Considering that end users are patching, for example Neogeo core to run at 60hz exactly (see thread ...

Re: CPS2 - slight lag / frame skip in some games
I mean like Dodonpachi has. Game runs at a slightly different speed so it matches the exact display of 60hz while being smooth, stutter free scrolling. If you rather have jumpy scrolling than "accuracy" then it should up to the end user to decide what's the best for him or her. I am always in favour of more options, I'm not an elitist. If...

Well technically it is not impossible but Jotego has to add the option first. When I asked him about it some time ago he said he wasn't interested though.

Re: CPS2 1080p 5x vertical crop
No. Reason is that in many games vital info like energy bar etc, is displayed near the very edge so if vertical cropping is used this gets cut off.

Re: Issue when setting up a device
Well it's a custom made spinner with buttons. The problem lies with the fact that when you have to register the first button and you cannot skip it by pressing spacebar as it assumes that you are setting up the keyboard. A spinner setup doesn't have directional buttons.

Issue when setting up a device
I have found an issue when setting up a new controller which needs to skip certain buttons, for example a spinner.
I skip using the space bar but when it gets to 'L' the space bar stops responding and I have to skip using User button on the MiSTer but the setup in the end does not work as required.
Any idea what is going on?

Re: Change core clock from 59.18 hz to 60 hz
Updates on Neogeo are done by Sorgelig himself and he does not want to include this option. I am sure with everything else on his plate, and he understands how individual cores interface with the main framework that Sorgelig got his reasons. Plus he is not fond of 15khz CRTs so there no motivation on his part to include the option in the core. Umm...

Please help, multiple .ini configuration switch does not work
Update: figured it out. It was the menu highlight colour which was confusing me as it looked like it is the other way round So basically I want to setup two .ini files. I have 2 .ini files name liked this: MiSTer.ini MiSTer_alt_1.ini So after MiSTer boots (and loads MiSTer.ini obviously) I go to menu and select to switch to "ALT". The MiS...
