@ZigZag : well, actually most OCS games do work through WHDLoad once properly installed, but once in a while I stumble upon one which doesn't (the ones mentioned above).
Another unrelated issue, compatibility wise, is games have gfx glitches when the D-cache is enabled.
cheers !

Re: 68020 AGA core - 2 game issues
Incorrect, there is no Fire & Ice AGA Slave... Well, I was referring to the CD32 slave, which has no drawback because it can use ingame modules and not only CDDA tracks. But indeed there are quite a few OCS games not starting and indicating "illegal instuction". Another example is Iridium and Simulcra. All of them do work in 68k / OC...

Re: CAVE 68000 Any News for Mister
A beta version was released for patreon backups in august - with no sound. Meanwhile, another Patreon post showed ingame music perfectly (?) rendered. So a new beta with the sound should appear soon !

Just ordered another complete slim setup for a friend. He needed the floopy drive sound & db9 port :-) (thanks again !) BTW; can you confirm that when not using a db9 splitter, I can use a single Amiga / CD 32 / Genesis gamepad out of the box ? (with the specific core build of course) When using an USB interface, I noticed - I don't know if tha...

Hi ! Hmm, I remember playing the AGA version of Fire & Ice with no issue. Which one did you try ? I think the slaves were updated quite recently.
Edit : whdload slave updated several times, incl. in may 2020

I can check. The result will be less obvious to spot with smaller steps !

Scaling mode stuck at 3x instead of 4x after quitting some interlaced low-res screens
Hi ! I'd like to report a bug that occurs in games which temporarily switch their resolution from lowres to low-res interlaced. - for instance, when starting Shadow of the Beast 3 with its introduction - when enabling a multiball games in some flippers - after the main menu in Bill's Tomato Game the problem is, when the picture gets back to the non...

Re: Sponsoring RTG support
@Chaos : the problem is not really the disk accesses being slow, but the mouse / keyboard / joystick USB input being frozen / slowed down when there is a significant disk access actually. This is bound to occur the ARM is responsible for another CPU intensive task I guess ?
I guess it doesn't happen when using I/O boards with db9 ports.
Cheers !

Re: Sponsoring RTG support
Hi ! Sounds great Indeed !!! The current 020 implementation is not cycle-exact anyway. My only fear is the risk of bringing the ARM down ! ATM when copying files or making other i/o intensive tasks on the Minimig, the OSD and mouse are frozen. Maybe it's due to priorities handling / the fact I enabled 1000 Hz polling ? I'm kinda worried a software ...

Re: Breakthrough for the ao486 core announced - Cache
Hi ! Yep, indeed, I remember, I always thought my PC friends were unlucky because the same games looked way more blocky despite the same resolution :) Any idea how to "downscale" the picture in order to apply the scanlines filters to the 240p pictures ? I really can't see myself playing 320*240 games in fullscreen on a 24" monitor wi...

Re: Breakthrough for the ao486 core announced - Cache
Just asking because I'm so used to them (on the Minimig etc) it looks super pixellized / blocky without them - some ppl like that though It seems they are not applied properly ATM because of the internal resolution which is already upscaled ?

However there's no more mention of the buzzer for the floppy drive sound, is it still provided ?
Thanks !

VSCALE_BORDER not taken into consideration ?
Hi ! I'm using this aforementioned setting to reduce the picture size (along with integer scales) in some cores, depending on how "fine" (less blocky) I want the picture to be. It seems the setting is not applied in the GBA core. I tried several values, I tried to set it as global, or just for the core (after [GBA]), to no avail. The sett...

Re: Freezing OSD/mouse under heavy I/O load : ARM at fault ?
Yep, all I/Os go through Linux AFAIK, and usually it's super low latency (1000 Hz), but maybe we hit some corner cases when there is a huge I/O load. Could input be priorized over disk / UART I/O ?
As for the other questions, I'm actually using a fast SD card, very fast compared to the bandwidth actually used by the Amiga.

Freezing OSD/mouse under heavy I/O load : ARM at fault ?
Hi everyone ! My question may sound like a tautology but actually, I'm not that sure that's normal. When making a copy or extracting an archive or accessing the internet through (UART PPP mode + MiamiDX) - the whole AmigaOS starts to crawl. I first thought that was normal but also : - even the mouse pointer freezes. I cannot remember if that happen...

Re: Silent noise over HDMI / optical (Feature request)
@Crystal : Harman Kardon AVR161. Well, I thought it was more relevant to use my amplifier's built-in DAC... I don't know if there is an extra conversion analog to digital conversion if you use it with an analog source, which would mean 2 extra conversion with an external DAC. Oh well :-) My point is thats it's common to have an amplifier that cuts ...

Re: Silent noise over HDMI / optical (Feature request)
@loev : actually, sound is frequently cut during screenmode changes if you use HDMI sound. I worked around this by using the optical output (could be with the analog output to). @Crystal : you're referring to my amplifier I guess ? As I don't use a DAC, as I use the optical (or HDMI) output. Well, that's a common "feature" (or issue ?) of...

Silent noise over HDMI / optical (Feature request)
Hi ! Please let me act as a spoilt kid again :-) and suggest a new feature. I don't know to what extent it can be implemented. Many audio amplifiers temporarily switch the sound OFF when there is "blank" on the audio input and take up about one second to "wake up" which results in "holes" in the audio stream. Happens o...

Re: Sponsoring RTG support
Hi ! Even if not using RTG for "retro-productivity" purposes, it's EXTREMELY useful to be able to save all your chip ram and browse one's games collection with the Glow icons. Otherwise you are constantly stressed as you don't know if your games are gonna crash or not :-) As for the "retro-productivity" use cases, I think it's r...
