For information, here is where we bought U1 for the SMD version. (You'll see it above in this thread) and it works like a charm

You should test some EGA games, you'll be surprised the things an XT can do, many EGA programs and games up to 1992 will work very well, even VGA ones.
Agree with you as well, Ultima V, Wizardry IV are one of them. I also think about Deluxe paint with the EGA pallet and resolutions which works also fine on PC-XT.

Re: New Tandy 1000 Graphic Modes

I'm not sure it makes sense to add VGA to the PCXT core though as it will need porting it to an 8-bit bus. Using it for a "PCAT" core (with a 16bit CPU and bus) is probably simpler and will make it easier to get extra Mhz for games. Hercules on the other hand is perfect for the PCXT. There are some games that use this mode for higher res...

The mouse is also working fine on Com1.

@spark2k06, I apologize, while I was thinking when I built the Bioses that I was using the new XTIDE, I in fact used the old one. I copied the wrong one in the folder where I put the .BIN... I've just repeated the operation (with the new XTIDE at the right place :-)) and now everything work as it should. Very sorry.. @flynnsbit, your guess was true...

@spark2k06, This week end, I tried several Bios from different motherboards to see if I could find a similar to the Juko in terms of smooth display while doing a DIR for instance, and which is compatible with the mouse driver + GWbasic. Re: Mouse Support Over the COM2 Port in PCXT Core

Thank you @breiztiger,

Just tried on my side, and same as you, EDIT opens, the mouse works but a few seconds :-( then the cursor freezes.

This is very strange.

EDIT: it seems to be quite random the freeze. Had no issue after 10' and a reboot later, it freeze after a couple of seconds.

@spark2k06,

Any idea where this issue comes from ?

Re: Atari ST core simply refuses to start (no OSD)

Hi @eobet, What about the TOS image ?, have you put the TOS.IMG at the right location ? TOS.IMG is the operating system (from 1.0 for the early system to the 2.06 for the latest STE) of the ST. All versions are easily findable on the web. Just rename one to TOS.IMG Actually the core expects to find the TOS in a file called TOS.IMG. If it is not the...

Re: Feature Request Connect a Real Datassette

I suppose the core could be updated to provide the signals to a new adapter that hooks a datasette to the MiSTer user port. But it'll be more complicated than most adapters as the datasette motor requires 9 volts to operate. At the end, I think that 9V it's not an issue!! You could do it with a step up booster (5V to 9V). Regards, Shark I'm using ...
