Re: How Do I Add My Own ROM to the MiSTer FPGA? Where Are High Scores Stored?

If you're going to be looking at roms and updating high scores often, I reccomend setting up an FTP application so you don't have to fiddle with the SD card every time you want to do so. This video here goes into detail on how to do that. It's very easy.

In regards to the flowchart for composite, the only issues I've seen with Antonio's active adaptor are 2 people using s-video. Can speak for the composite?

Upgrading the INI file?

Is there a way to import settings from an older version of an INI file to a newer one? I'm specifically trying to take advantage of the new setting to disable autofire. I tried just adding it in at the end of my current INI file but it didn't work.

Re: Gyro Support for Controllers

If there's one thing I've learned watching the progress of the MiSTer project, it's that where there's a will there's a way. What if there was a device that intercepted controller input to strip it of gyro data, so that gyro messages won't have to be processed by the MiSTer itself? Just throwing out ideas here. For those who think an external devic...

Re: A Holiday Season THANK YOU! to all MiSTer Developers

A serious thank you to the MiSTer devs! Being able to enjoy these games on a CRT with zero lag is an unreal feeling. Not to mention being able to just plug and play into any tv I want makes it very easy to a friends house!
Thank you for everything!

You have to set the jumper on the IO board. I believe it's right below the vga port.

I was asking because a local gamestore was selling a mini console for around $50. I was going to buy it when I get my paycheck in one week. Someone bought it today.

My walls are very thin. The volume that I would have to turn it up to to drown out the fan noise would be very loud.

Is the Noctua Fan Quiet? What Are Other Ways of Reducing Noise on MiSTer?

I vaugley remember reading somewhere that the Noctua fan was quiet. I'm considering upgrading my fan to a Noctua, but I would like to know if it actually is quiter than the stock fan. When I say reduce noise, I'm talking about the stock fan being pretty noisy. Are there any other ways of reducing noise that i should know of?

Re: [New version!] SD Card Migration Utility for MiSTer: An easy way to migrate to a new SD card, no PC required

Mine won't detect my SD card. I'm using a sandisk Micro sd to usb converter, so I can't imagine it would be the converters fault. Would it be possible to add support for the sd card slot on the I/O Board? Edit: Does the SD card have to be formated as fat32 or anything? Mine is currently a corrupt MiSTer install :? Edit2: Formating it as FAT32 did t...

Given that the MiSTer can just internet to generate time for games with RTC support, is it even worth investing money into a RTC module? The only games that come to mind with RTC support are pokemon. The only time I can ever imagine an RTC module being useful is if internet goes out, but unless you live in an area with poor internet access (in whic...

Re: Next Generation FPGA Hardware's Potential for Existing MiSTer Cores?

I love the idea of an FPGA N64! Emulation for the platform has never been good enough to run every game, so an fpga n64 would be a godsend! That being said I will not fund or support any new MiST project because I just built my mister this year :p Edit: haha this thread is for existing cores. Several GBA games and the one GBC game used gyro controls which do not translate well to a stick. It would be really nice to be able to use the gyro in modern controllers, but it would have to be integrated into the main mister project. Can we please get this?
