Give it a try with fast USB polling turned off.

Re: CPS 1.5
Hi All, Anyone having issues getting 3 player's simultaneous working with Cadillacs and Dinosaurs? I could get 2 players to work, but not three. All 3 controllers were working fine on the MiSTer and worked perfectly on another arcade core. I was able to set the control scheme through the OSD in C&D with all three controllers, but then the 3rd ...

PR is merged!
Can't wait for new core releases based on this! Thank you, Yim!!!!

Re: A case for 5x vertical crop in 1080p mode.
Can someone please specify the custom aspect ratios that are needed to get full integer scaling with a 6:5 pixel aspect ratio on NES, Genesis, and SNES? I see 64:45 posted above - is that value correct (I've seen 64:49 posted other places), and does it apply to SNES and Genesis also? Thanks. I recently posted a build of the Genesis core with a men...

Re: Automatic horizontal integer scaling implementation on SMS
This will come in handy for cores that have at least a couple of horizontal resolutions on games that change them a lot! Thanks for bringing this up here!

You're probably meaning something like this? viewtopic.php?f=29&t=1497
It should be implemented in a "per core" basis, so hopefully it will be available on the Minimig core at some point.

Re: A case for 5x vertical crop in 1080p mode.
The one thing that needs to be fixed is the ability to use custom aspect ratios for 5x crop, currently they do not work. Yeah, I've noticed that. But I think it deserves a pull request as it is, so people can jump in and collaborate more easily if it's on github! Oh, also there is a bug when you switch between 16:9 and 4:3 modes where it will get ...

Re: Paprium cartridge
It will eventually be supported by software emulators and also MiSTer. It's just a matter of time now. First step should be figuring out the DRM/bank switching mechanism in other to get the full sequential ROM data and not mirrored data as one used to get when trying to dump Pier Solar without playing with the DRM/bank switching bits. Implementing ...

Even if that was possible on MiSTer, it’s really not recommended to hot swap cartridges on any system.

Re: A case for 5x vertical crop in 1080p mode.
I've just simulated a centralized vertical 1200p crop to 1080p with a screenshot captured from an emulator on the PC using GIMP and I kinda like the result:
It seems to match where my old TV used to crop when playing with my original Sega Mega Drive back then in the 90's.
I really hope this become a reality in the near future.

+1 on this feature!
It's the only missing thing now in order to make MiSTer's HDMI scaler (ASCAL) a "killer" one, IMO!

custom_aspect_ratio_x options are great indeed! Now we only need 5x scaling with vertical cropping for 1080p!

Beggar Prince apparently boots fine, but try entering/leaving some houses at the beginning and it will reboot. Also it will fail saving when you have a chance to do so.

Yes, they do work on original hardware and they also work on GenplusGx, since it implements the special mappers used by both games.
Maybe MiSTer Genesis core is still missing those mappers?

Are there plans to make X68000, PC88 and PC98 cores MiSTer official ones that can be downloaded by the updater script? In case there is, what are the main hurdles that are preventing that to happen?

Re: VGA Output, Scalers, and CRTs
You can have native resolutions for the most part. While using VGA scaler set the video to 4x and the sync to variable. Save those settings to the default in the menu. Now go to ini settings and set vga_scaler to 0 It works in most cases for me but because of the hsysnc it's a bit jittery but still far better than the janky scaler. Need those chun...

Looking forward to native VGA output through IO board VGA connection on this core! It doesn't make sense to use scaler through VGA and the results are sub-optmal here with my CRT VGA monitor.

Hmm. Right. Specially the NeoGeo core was based off come IC decaps, IIRC. But it's not uncommon to see FPGA developers referring to MAME code as reference.

Depending on the version you had, there were some memory refresh issues that affected stability on several games, specially ones from Square. You shouldn't have those issues anymore on latest version. Please post here if otherwise.

I’m pretty sure that’s the original xbox controller vid:pid and that’s theres native linux support to it.
