Yes. No moving parts, less power consumption is fine by me.

Got a big 4tb mechanical drive with everything on it but thinking of replacing it with a 4tb ssd. Less moving parts basically, no speed gain I guess.

considering the mt32pi requires a specific cable/length and not all cables work, I doubt a splitter is gonna help it.

Re: Jotego Confirms CPS3 / PGM / Mortal Kombat

I kinda wish that Jotego would revisit the X68000 first, but I'm not complaining. This is cool stuff. As for the CPU, could he use srg320's code? I know the code hasn't been opened yet, but perhaps srg320 would be willing to share just the CPU code with Jotego? Other than that, CPS3 and Saturn seem like very different systems and there is no major...

Re: Best Controller Setup For MiSTer?

Hori Fighting Commander for ps3/ps4/pc is the best controller for me. Super versatile, has a home button, shoulder buttons and a solid d-pad. It's a wired controller which I still generally prefer when playing games Was going to get that but then saw reviews of it breaking within a month. Glad you found something that works for you, but I’m surpri...

Does MegaAGS always say to mount the saves on the slave drive even though I have it set up that way?
I always seem to think I did it wrong when I see the message but I guess it just a default text blurb?

Re: PC98 Core

I've set up everything and have managed to run some games. CRW (with the English patch) is booting perfectly when using D88 and loading both A and B disks. Chitty Chitty Train errors out with a "I/O Error" and a constant beep when trying to boot it. I'll continue testing games I have. Can someone drop these D88 patched files on archive o...

Re: X68000 Beta - Updates and Releases

this is shaping up to be such a great core. This latest build nicely fills the screen on all games now, it's just missing the MT32PI hack add but it's all good. The TonTon hdfs are great but a little hard to come by. Get this instead: https://archive.org/details/mister_x68k All single game HDFs incl Castlevania. Mount hdf and reset and you are play...

Re: New All in one system coming up

These aio are getting stale already, plus the small footprint of the original setup is much more appealing (to me at least) even if a mini itx solution is def better than other crappy iterations. Not having a better audio DAC tho is criminal and idiotic at this point. Taken from their website: "It sounds pretty good right?, but i know there a...

neo geo core is pretty finnicky at times.

Sometimes the .neo files don't load at all, sometimes the darksoft pack roms don't load.

Re: New distribution system for Jotego cores

First impressions: Disappointed by the nagging/advert popup: it should at least time out so we can enjoy the little there is to see. The system seems to start only for SYSTEM16, no CPS2. How will it go for new patrons? Will they have to use the old method, will they be excluded because they became a patron too late or simply priority was given to ...

No way the case is going to be big enough to fit the Mister, the custom boards, a hdd and a raspberry pi for mt32-pi though right?

Oh wait or is there going to be a mt32-pi cassette? I think I misunderstood.

aberu wrote: Sun May 23, 2021 5:15 am You mean like this?

Use the filter you mentioned and turn on "force 256px" in the OSD options for audio/video for the SNES core.

Here's a glamor shot of Earthworm Jim 256px mode on, 5x scaling, the filter you mentioned (which I like too), and Pure_Gamma/gamma_110.txt as well.

Looks good to me!
