Re: Action Replay roms
Unfortunately not, even if minimig should support it the mister isn't. I tried also action replay 4 which should be compatible with aga hardware. There is hrtmon available but I haven't figured out how to use its trainer function.. The problem is that hrtmon requires start and end address to search. I tried with only 1 meg chip ram and address spac...

Re: Unable to use MIDI/TCP for connecting to BBS
Yes even at 38400 I get bad data packet crc-32 @ 0. I tested another bbs and there downloads works fine. The only strange thing is that dctelnet works fine. Not the end of the world I'll use dctelnet for downloading from there. Thanks for your support. I guess not all "Zmodem" implementations are compatible. telser.device and MidiLink/Re...

Re: Unable to use MIDI/TCP for connecting to BBS
With ATSZ the transfer is fine, I also tried that lib and I still get bad crc errors from the bbs I'm connecting to. Maybe it's the bbs the problem (it runs on cnet) but with DCTelnet I can download fine from that. I also tried Ymodem and Xmodem but is the same. The only thing that drive me crazy is that with DCTelnet works but looks ugly, I can a...

Re: Most Compatible BIOS files for MegaCD Core?
Odd, region free bios works fine here. Yeah, very odd. I figured it would be "easier" and "cleaner" to have one region free BIOS as the default. Theoretically it would have been, but not a single region free BIOS would work. They all initlally acted like they were working, but after that Sonic chime and Sega logo, hard freeze. ...

Sonic delta 40mb romhack
Hi, I'm not a particular fan of romhacks but I seen this interesting one that is claiming to work on original hardware. On mister the audio is broken, lot of sprites errors, glitches and crashes. I haven't even tried the save feature reportedly broken on everdrive because can't use sram with sega mapper and don't know if applies to mister too. I'm ...

Re: Unable to use MIDI/TCP for connecting to BBS
Ok, got it connecting to some bbses! Unfortunately transfers are not working, tried with zmodem and ymodem. Are they working for you in midi/tcp mode? I have no trouble transferring files with Zmodem. I use NCOMM 3 with xprzmodem.library. http://aminet.net/package/comm/term/xprzmodem What happens if you try to download a file locally from the Linu...

Re: Unable to use MIDI/TCP for connecting to BBS
The TCP/IP stack you installed is possibly starting in s:startup-sequence or s:user-startup and preventing the terminal program from accessing the serial port. Make sure you are using the correct BAUD (default is 115200). The OSD "Change UART Baud" (or Soundfont) option(s) won't work (for now) unless you have updated MidiLink. I might be...

Unable to use MIDI/TCP for connecting to BBS
Hi, I'm perfectly able to connect with ppp and miamidx tcp/ip stack. I would like to use an old terminal program like ncomm or term48 to connect to a bbs using serial modem emulation without tcp/ip. On c64 core with striketerm I can connect using midi/remote/tcp, but with minimig and same settings on serial.device I can't, the terminal says modem n...

Re: Wallpapers and CRT TV
If you carefully look at the config you posted there's a [menu] line on top. This means that config is active only in menu core overriding the global config. Having the vga connected to the scaler only in menu core is not a big loss and ensures you view the wallpaper and terminal and as soon as you load any other core, the global or that core speci...

Re: Amiga CD32
@Chris23235 : The ISO image can be mounted with IDEFIX or Isomount . How to using IDEFIX? Isomount requires that you have the ISO copied into an HDF file. That is not really ideal... You don't need IDEFix to mount an ISO file. You most likely already have a CD filesystem. Using the OSD, Select the ISO file to "Primary Slave" just as you ...

Thanks

Re: Maybe star ocean has a glitch
It's not about the moving shadow, if you look carefully you can see a "rain effect" in it. Being even in this video I think that it's an artistic choice however it's emulation.

Maybe star ocean has a glitch
Hi, i. I'm very sorry for this topic but I don't have a physical snes for comparison. I started playing star ocean translated version but this also applies to original jap version and I noticed that at the beginning village there's a "raining" effect only on buildings' shadows. Is it normal?

Re: MegaCD Problem: BIOS per game and multi-disk games.
Hacks/Mods/Translations usually have changes only in data track. So you can have cue with separate data track and share all audio track. A lot of space saving. Yes but with internal+cart you have a lot of space to save so even if you bond saves to folder name you should still have space for more, unless there are games with hard coded very limited...

Or you could make a simple check between loaded vs expected bios based on crc. If loaded == expected && !reset then load and don't reset else load and reset. Obviously this is worth only if the crcs calculation doesn't add too much lag when selecting a new image. The advantage of this is that re enables the possibility of loading an image ...

Re: MSX sofarun write error writing A:
I think you have Nextor used in the place of MSDos. Nextor are not able to emulate a A: or another Floppy device. Could you please execute this command 'ver' on the shell ? I don't think the issue is related to this because everything is fine when having the vhd on internal SD. I have that problem when the VHD is in a CIFS (Samba) mount. It's stra...

Hi, I'm on latest msx core and latest boot.vhd (smokemonster pack) and when I try to run games carts from the zips archives, when it goes to unstore them after few seconds I get a writing error on a: and the game does not run. No problem on hdd games. I have verified the write access and it works well in file manager or for storing sofarun settings...

Re: Most Compatible BIOS files for MegaCD Core?
Also about region free bios, the Japanese one should be the most compatible as some rare Japanese games will check the bios data itself. It's also the recommended one from the region free developer. I suggest the mega cd 2 one because mega cd 1 bios seems to have problems with mister by not correctly detecting tray status if "reboot after inse...

Corrected aspect ratio in mega cd and md tmss
Hi, in genesis core you can set the aspect ratio to corrected. Will this be merged in mega cd core also or this isn't necessary on mega cd? I also have another question, could be introduced an option to enable/disable tmss on genesis core if tmss.rom (or Genesis.rom in bootrom folder) is provided? I know that it causes only troubles but my old mega...

[MegaCD] Support for hybrid rom/cd images (Pier solar, MD+...)
Hi as you know there are a few roms that can optionally use the mega cd to enhance the audio quality. Would be great to be able to play them and I suppose that shouldn't be much work. Thanks
