You can easily test the mister usb hub on a pc.
just unplug the jumper board that sits between the de-10 and the usb hub and use a regular usb cable to the usb hub.
And just plug it into a pc like any other hub to see if it works at all.

Re: Almost there - need video lead?
Not sure but hope video clues can do the trick too
I´m pretty sure a VGA-RGB component cable and some mister ini settings adjusted is all that is needed.
But only use mister on hdmi screens myself so not absolutely sure tough.

Re: Case for DE10 Nano and Vertical SDRAM Only
And makes it much safer for the rather fragile usb port on the DE-10.
The jumper board really makes it much, much harder to break the only usb port on the DE-10 nano that can be used for all the "USB stuff".

Re: I Think My SDRAM Died Can Someone Confirm My Suspicion?
Yes try unplug/plug in a couple of times, because if there are some crap/etc it can take more then one time to get rid of all.
I would probably also check both the RAM and DE-10 boards closely for any crap that potentially could cause a short/or some electricity creeping between pins/solder joints.
Probably worth trying both since it won´t take long!

Re: Strange Things Happen with Retro-Bit Genesis Controllers
Most if not all consoles can behave strange if you unplug/plug in a controller, mostly it´s depending on what game is running, and most likely where the game is at can cause problems.
So that mister has problems unplug/plug in controllers is only expected, ESPECIALLY for SNAC which is the same as a controller plugged in to the console.

Re: New FPGA Hardware Design Ideas
And don´t forget that a mister successor needs to be something that can be bought for years to come after it is released. So there are two ways to go here. 1, someone builds it and needs guarantees that every part is going to be made for years. 2, Opensource it with very/very common parts that probably will be made for years to come that probably w...

Re: New FPGA Hardware Design Ideas
An idea is Cyclone V 5CGXC9 FPGA (301000 LE) but it doesn't have an ARM Cortex A9 (I don't know how important this is for the project). Also how much RAM is optimal for this project and what are the peripherals you want to have on the board. The ARM side of the mister is only doing small parts like the mister OS/GUI/sd card/network/usb/loading rom...

Here are one really good site about joysticks that have many controller layouts/tons of info and is generally a good read trough everything before building a joystick. http://www.slagcoin.com/joystick/layout.html Used a couple of the printable layouts and playing with my hand over the paper before making the final decision and worked well, and one ...

here is what the original message from creator. Hello! Here's a zip containing all the presets I've made for a bunch of different cores. Re: Depricated.
Far from an expert at this!
But from what i have read about ZFS on Pi´s (and yes even 4´s) and/or other lower end cpu/memory can cause corrupted ZFS pools quite easily.
And it has much too do with to little memory but some because slow cpu, and i assume ECC memory could probably have helped in some cases.

Re: Release DE10 Nano Overclock Kernel BETA
It could be put in some "experimental/unsafe features" tab (like in the PSX core) and have the warning in the scroller text. At least 99% of the people would still forget that they have turboed the ARM cpu. If you added a big red flashing warning sign over the whole screen with a blaring horn that can not be clicked past for 5sec then mo...

Re: Thoughts on this power supply?
After a quick look at the reviews and seeing these two comments. Sure they where for 9V and 24V versions but i would NOT let this near my beloved , i mean my DE-10 NANO ;) It is probably a cheap generic powersupply and there is probably a BIG chance that the internals change all the time depending on what is cheapest during the week before of manuf...

Re: Problems with my DE10-Nano
If you have everything disconnected my thoughts are these. As KneeTie said the DE-10 was fried by a static shock. Or some short somewhere. I would probably look the board over very thoroughly preferably with a magnifying glass because it can be very hard to see a short on this small components/traces. You could also try terrasics offical sd card/im...

Some important pro/cons/info is left out of this list! Will add them SNAC DaemonBite BlisSTer Tldr; SNAC for lightguns and DaemonBite for almost everything else. I run the 1G1R romset.
1G1R stands for “One Game One ROM”.
If you use the google you will probably find some archive site that may have that

You should also make sure the sdcard is formated with EXFAT and NOT NTFS.
Because NTFS will most likely cause problems sooner or later!

Although it do happens often but after 2-4 hours and the gamepad is ...

Where did my last post go?
All i said was that i did play Klonoa for about 2 hours and that it was a good but not fantastic game.
And then said Urban Chaos is one of my all time favorites games, played the hell out of it on PC at the time.

So What PSX Game Should I Play On My First Try of the Core?
I have waited for the official PSX release before playing so almost no bugs/etc will be left. And i just started thinking about what game should i try first? I have decided that it must not be any of the well known games or big releases. Also not any fighting game sure jiggle physics and finishers is fun for 5-10min but after that the games are jus...

Perhaps the d-pad takes some time to get used to Yes you have too build up some nice thick skin  . I preferred PS layout over xbox at the time (the opposite now) the only problem i had was that the left thumb got raw many times due to the D-pad. And Digital psx pad vs analog, i do think the dualshock felt a bit nicer because of the weight and...
