Re: So Robert Peip (FPGAzumSpass) Is Working on a New Core...

Oh nice, I didn't spot that. Jaguar and CD certainly has a decent homebrew scene, so it adds up there.

That would be really exciting if it is Jaguar.

Re: So Robert Peip (FPGAzumSpass) Is Working on a New Core...

Very exciting to hear Robert is starting another core. It's fun to speculate based off of what he has teased. The few facts from the post are: It's a MiSTer core (i.e. it's not N64 or something running on a board more powerful than the DE-10, like his abandoned 2DS core) There is homebrew for the system (rules out a number of things, and means it's...

Re: I Won a MiSTer on eBay

Do you have a digital or analogue iO board? If you have a digital and it came with 32mb of RAM, then put that 32MB stick in slot B and you will get the benefit of having dual RAM on the WIP cores that support it (Saturn and Jaguar).

The core has been ported to MiST by Gyurco and it fixes a lot of problems of the original one. The thing is that I can't find the time to apply the changes to the MiSTer core yet... :(

Did you ever get round to bringing these improvements over to the MiSTer core?

What actually is SLIP?

Re: Congo Bongo Released

Thanks for adding this is really fun, I had been playing the SG-1000 version the other day that is 2D, didn't realise the arcade version was 3D isometric.

Be worth posting in the updates thread this core is out so it appears as a news update so more people know about it. :-)

Sega SG-1000 (& SC-3000 + SF-7000)

Hi guys, there has been a lot of talk about the Sega SG-1000 over the past few days on the discord, a lot around the best way to play the system on MiSTer with both the ColecoVision and SMS cores being able to load the games, so I thought it would be good to start a thread on this system. A quick overview for anyone unaware, the SG-1000 released in...

If you grab the script from here and put it in your MiSTer scripts folder you can just run it from your MiSTer menu

Re: Coleco BIOS?

If you use the bios_getter script (included as part of the update_all script) it will download all the BIOS files you need for the different cores and correctly name them. I strongly recommend just using update_all (although it is unofficial, but run by the same person who maintains the official downloader script).

Been having a go of this core this evening and it's working really well, being able to load the roms from the OSD is great, good effort! Is there much left to do before this can be released officially?

Re: VIC-20 MegaCart Support

Thanks for the info chaps, much appreciated. Without breaking any rules about requesting/posting roms, have these two carts been dumped so if someone were looking to implement multicart loading into the core they could test these two? I can see that the MegaCart is out in the wild, and that one is confirmed to run on MiST.

TI-83 and Other Calculators

The possibility of a TI-83 core was mentioned in another thread, and has come up before, so I thought it would be worth starting a thread for it and discussion about any other calculators. I imagine a lot of us had to go buy one of these back in the day for school, and likely have them gathering dust in a box somewhere (I've had a look for my old o...

Does anyone have a list of what VIC-20 multicarts are out there? Are there exclusive contents on any carts? The more info there is on what is out there then the more chance of getting support added.

Dropped 8 months back. Probably could do with a sys update looking at it, hasn't been updated since then.

Oh wow, this looks horribly convoluted

I wonder if this core is so esoteric it would be better to be built from the ground up rather than try make this core work like other computer cores.

Re: Rememotech MTX ported to MiSTer by retrovader [Yo_Me]

Hey guys, I've been looking at this core and trying to figure out how to load anything, but am hitting a brick wall. Has anyone been able to load anything and have a step process to do this?

If there is a working way to do this then it would be possible to add a load option on the OSD and make this much easier to use.

I am a bit confused by this new Coin Op database. Is this just for Attract17 and Darren0's WIP cores, and finished cores will still be merged into Main and released officially, or are all these cores now unofficial and you will need to use an unofficial script to get them?

Hi, The Minimig Core on the MiST recently gained CD audio support (CD support was only recently added without CD audio streaming) and people have been testing CD32 games via the IDEFix 97 CD32 Emu program. Different FPGA's used I know, but maybe the MiST code will help to port this feature to MiSTer? https://github.com/mist-devel/mist-binaries/tre...
