I've seen DOS 6.22 hang like that a couple of times when a program generates an exception. If possible, you might try running in the Windows 95 command prompt; that usually seems to give more useful exception output.

Is it possible that this game requires an FPU? I think the couple of times I've seen a fatal exception on program boot like that, it's been because the program was looking for an FPU and didn't find one.

I just got just these as minimum requirements, i also used the Exoconverter first but was the same output;

Minimum
Operating system (OS) MS-DOS 5.0
Processor (CPU) 80486 DX2 66
System memory (RAM) 8 MB
Hard disk drive (HDD) 20 KB
Video card (GPU) SVGA Vesa compatible
1 MB of VRAM

Do you have an image with win95?
