Please see attached. Thanks for looking at it!

I am afraid I don't remember the high scores as I was just trying to get the minimum score just enough to populate the high scores panel. Let me try to get a new high score and will provide you with them including my initials!

@ jimmystones,

I have just made 13200 points at Youjyuden, not so great score but still I am first  My initials are ALB. Please see attached.

Thanks!

EDIT
I have opened the .nmv file with a text editor and I can see my initials in there followed by others.

Can you confirm what the modified date on your Lode runner / Youjyuden / Kung-fu Master MRAs are? It looks like the updater might not have pulled the latest version for me, wonder if it's the same for you

Just noticed this thread:

https://misterfpga.org/viewtopic.php?f= ... 646#p19948

Sounds like there is an issue with the updater at the moment - I expect if you manually updated your mra it might start working..

Great news, that was the issue indeed. My high scores are up there now! Thanks a lot

It's now time to improve all my high scores, I suspect it will be a very busy weekend :D

Good to hear, glad it wasn't my fault in the end :D

If there are any issues still with any of the games you might need to delete the nvm and start afresh because if it was made with the updated RBF but the old MRA it could be corrupted.

Absolutely, your fixes were spot on! Thanks again for that. :D

BTW Locutus73 has already fixed the script!

Where's the high score stored in RAM, I can't find it... Hey, wait a minute, where's the RAM? :P

I'm going for the Space Invaders core next - a little bit more modern :D

@jimmystones,

Just to let you know that 'I am sorry' is saving correctly the high scores as well..just got a stunning 88200 points..lol..

I don't know, maybe because of the fact the my high score can now be saved, but it seems that my skills at Lode Runner and Youjyuden improved significantly as well :D

I can't wait for the day we can sort of share our high scores..that would be simply awesome!

Anyway I ams till terrible at Spelunker!!!

Thanks a lot again!

Hello Everyone,
This is great progress thanks for all the hard work :)
I'm trying the updated berzerk core and trying to get the save feature to work so far it only saves if i F12 and select save settings. Is that correct operation ? Is there a way to make it auto save ?
Thanks

Had a go at the Space Invaders core - not a great deal of support for hiscores across its games, but I got these working:
- Attack Force
- Blue Shark
- Cosmo
- Galaxy Wars
- Lunar Rescue
- Space Chaser
- Space Invaders Part II
- Space Invaders
The following may work but haven't been able to test them yet:
- 280Z-ZZAP
- Clowns
- Laguna Racer
- Space Encounters

Pengo, so cute looking and so tricky to play, really cool game. I made my own Pengo game on my VIC-20 as a kid.

I've started on Pengo...it is proving annoyingly resistant so far!

In the meantime Burger Time is done - with the caveat that scores only load on core start, not on a reset (can't quite fathom why so I'm moving on for now)

Execellent, thanks for Burger Time! Regarding Pengo, I am sure you will get there at the end, you are unstoppable

I bet that would have been something to see on the vic-20!! I like Pengo, like, probably way more than I should, hahahaha.. I sure was happy when I finally got past level 16 and it started over, broke 220,000 that game, have not come close to that score since, but I try!!

I was fascinated with being able to push and break the blocks of ice. I always had fun designing the game graphics on the VIC. I might even still have it somewhere, I discovered some tapes a long time ago that had a few of the games on it that I programmed as a kid and copied them to disk. Don't know if either still work or if Pengo was one of them.

There was a fast food restaurant nearby in the eighties that had a Pengo cabinet and I even enjoyed just watching the attract screen.

Wow, you are really good at it, that is impressive. I've gotten slightly better at it since getting my MiSTer. I like how the more limited selection and gradual release of cores on MiSTer has you paying more attention to them.

Isn't it the area between 8840h and 885Dh inclusive? Or is the problem something else?

That is the chunk, but that part of the RAM is already dual-ported and used by the video system - had similar problems in the past, but the usual techniques have so far only achieved great highscore support but horrific video corruption!

Highscores and pause just added to Xevious, finally a game I can consistently beat the default high score on :D

Still on the production line are Time Pilot, Galaga and of course Pengo... All proving troublesome in their own special ways!
