Update script timeout

Hello any linux script expert here please?
i have problems with the update script, looks like there is a timeout after 180 seconds. if a file is not downloaded in such time window then it trigger a timeout error.
3 mins are more than sufficient for cores, mra and some roms. but i have problems with big roms and main firmware download.
is there any way to increase the timeout limit or remove it completely?
