has anyone tried installing the supporting software to use the RTL-SDR tuner dongle for radio stuff in the Mister Linux system?

Why would you do that? A Pi will be much better. Doing it in the FPGA would be interesting but the dongle is USB.

the FPGA has ARM cores, and supports USB WiFi devices, so I don't see why it should not work.

What I meant was: dual ARM at 800MHz vs Pi 3B+ Quad core at 1.4 GHZ and costs $35.00.

yeah I have one, it's just another thing to setup and maintain, thus my interest in trying it on the MiSTer FPGA board

I understand. This would require someone interested in SDR, interested to port the software to the DE01-nano. But my main concern is the processing power needed: SDR software needs a lot of processing power, including for the display. On the DE10-nano HDMI is owned by the FPGA and has no GPU.
