MT32pi with PRBOOM or Scumm VM?

Unread post by Brettster »

just got an MT32pi, is there a way to use it with the Linux side for PRBoom or Scumm VM for the midi out? Ideally looking to get the midi sound mixed back into the MiSTer so that all sound comes out of the HDMI output

Today if you use a USB MIDI interface on the MiSTer and mt32-pi you can get MIDI to the mt32-pi, but you'd need to do the mixing offboard on another device.

Network link is in development for the mt32-pi, which could be enabled through the MiSTer's MIDILink. That should work for ScummVM and PRBoom - once it is available.

Thanks for the reply, I have been using them with an SC55 and Roland UM one, but I just like how the MT32pi can mix the sound internally and feed it back to the HDMI.
Will the Network option have that feature too?
