wlan0 MAC

Unread post by coptimus »

Hi all. I had to restore my MiSTer to new state. My wifi isn't working like it always has. So...in troubleshooting, I've seen that if I bring that interface down, change the mac address to some other nonsense, and bring the interface back up, it works just fine. However, on reboot, the MAC address for wlan0 goes back to factory (for the USB device).

I know this is related to my router, but don't know how to fix that in my router (EdgeRouter4). I'm not a linux master (by any stretch). I'm sure this is something that can be fixed through some file.

Can anyone tell me how I would fix this issue? Any help is greatly appreciated.

All Right...I rebooted my router. Still no good. Then I rebooted my mesh wireless network...and fixed. Sorry to waste everyone's time.
