Delayed scrolling after attempting the latest update.

Unread post by Captain FPGA »

So I finally updated my Mister to the new linux version, I'm told I needed to use just regular update first and then update all to avoid any problems so I did that. I haven't hit update all yet because the scrolling mechanism is screwed on my Mister OSD. I would hit down/up and it would be slow. How to correct?

If you have a Blister board, update the firmware.

It won't even let me navigate into the script folder.

Just boot up mister then unplug and plug back in your usb keyboard, the keys will work fine for a few seconds, quick navigate to do the update, if the keyboard stops again, just unplug and plug in keyboard again till you can navigate and run the blisster update script, thats what i did no problems after updating firmware but remember to update both blisster ports.

SSH into the Mister and run the scripts remotely would be one option.

This suggestion helped my navigation for a short time like you said. I was finally able to access update all script. Problem is my wifi is acting up again. I'll wait until it corrects itself or something before I try to go back in.

There is always the option of a wired connection. Assuming your mister is close to the router

Captain, the update_all script isn't actually what you're looking for here. You'll need to update the firmware on both BlisSTer ports to resolve the issue. I made a video (just over a year ago) explaining the process if you want to have a look.

You will need a stable internet connection to your MiSTer to get it to work though.

I've had the same problem. I thought it was my card, so I wiped and did a clean install.

Updated BlisSTer firmware, but I've still got an issue with scrolling, and the clock will sometimes miss a second while it's missing input. It also takes a while to get an IP. Any other suggestions? The MiSTer isn't usable in its current state.

Thanks!
