Radius Pivot

Unread post by CartoonDonkey »

So.. I'm the lucky owner of a Radius Pivot monitor. It's great for TATE mode... in one directon.
Many of the arcade cores have a flip mode, so that isn't a problem, but say, Sinistar needs to be rotated the other direction.
It's VGA so I have to use the scaler, but is there no way using the current MiSter build, to set the rotation of an arcade core?

Hi, we are in the same boat, as my lcd also only allows for 90° rotation in one direction and I do not want to spend more on a new VESA holder than the used lcd cost me...

Sadly, the current scaler only has code for a 90° rotation. Which makes sense for tate games on normal displays. I made a suggestion on github to extend the code to provide 180° rotation, but there was no follow-up.

That’s really weird. Such a basic function to not be included from the start...
