Direct Video -> I/O Digital Edition v1.2

Unread post by marcelosofth »

Friends, I would like to know if using an HDMI -> RGB adapter with I/O Digital Edition v1.2 will have the same image quality as using Analog I/O with native RGB output!

Should be better - there are only enough GPIO pins to produce 6 bits of colour for each of R, G, and B on the analogue board; there are 8 bits used internally and in the HDMI output.
But In this case, you need to use the HDMI direct output, which is at the original resolution (usually 240p) which is not always handled by HDMI monitors, so initial setup or back-and-forth switching might be a bit of a pain.
