SNES Core Only One Not Working Through Component

Post by darkwombat »

I have a Commodore 1702 monitor and am using a VGA to component to go to the back of the 1702 for chroma (red) and Luma (green). Blue is unused.
All of my cores look fantastic and I am very happy. It seems the SNES core is the only one giving me an issue. This core flickers like it just isn't syncing at all.

My first task would be to eliminate some scan lines I had on that core. I will try that tonight.

I am also not familiar with making tweaks to specific cores.

I assume I can just go into the mister.ini and add something like this anywhere. Would this be a start?

[SNES]
ybpbr=1
vga_scaler=1
video_mode=320,16,31,59,224,12,3,23,6700

Or maybe vsync adjust? I have mine on 2 for least lag.

Thanks!

I have the same issue only on my Panasonic CRT. I saw on Reddit I think that others had the same issue with Panasonic TV's. In my case, it syncs, but it is unstable. Yes, you could use the scaler, and that will introduce a tiny amount of lag.

Got it working. Turned off all shadow masks and 25% scanlines etc. Then it worked!

Are you using the scaler? I think those settings only affect it when using the scaler. If not, I will have to try this!
