External Thumb Drive

Post by roman126 »

I have 2 small questions re using an external thumb drive as storage :-)

  1. Do you have to store Bios Files in the external storage folder if they already exist in the same named folder on the SD Card?
  2. Any issues in putting Roms in both folders, if the same folder exists on External Storage as on SD Card?

The external card will obscure the same directories on the SD Card.

So a games/spectrum directory on the USB will hide anything on the sd card called /games/spectrum. So you have to store bios files on the External drive. The Mister simply wont see them on the SD card if you have the same directory on the USB.

So best to copy the /games folder to the external drive. As the USB drive hides the SD card you cant have the mister see both. The USB always has priority
