Having a strange problem getting my K380 connected. The USB dongle I'm using is this one from misteraddons

I run the script and it detects the keyboard, but what bounces back is this error message:

Got device: 34:88:5D:41:6C:D9

Add to trust list...
Connecting...
Error org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.UnkownObject: Method "Connect" with signature "" on interface "org.bluez.Input" doesn't exist

Done.
Press any key to continue

I've connected it with the dongle to my PC to make sure both are functioning, but I'm not too well versed in Linux or much beyond running provided scripts on the MiSTer. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Just make sure you use latest MiSTer Linux build.
I just purchased a K400r (not Plus) based on this thread but it isn't working. I am using the latest MiSTer build. I have to press the Fn key to use any of the Function keys. They're not enabled by default. Any suggestions?
Anyone have experience with the K400r on MiSTer and getting the Function keys to work?

I’ve run the MiSTer updater. Anything else necessary to be on the latest?

So it turns out there are different revisions of the K400r. This can be easily spotted by the box they come in (keyboards themselves are identical). The older revision - which MiSTer supports - comes in a mostly white box and is labeled "Wireless Touch Keyboard". The newer revision which doesn't work comes in a green box with no special label. As best I can tell, the only way at this point to obtain one which works with MiSTer is to find an eBay listing which includes the original box. Fortunately I was able to get one still NIB and can confirm it does work

May be another version is clone/fake. I don't see why they should change the API.

No. Both are legitimate. You can google K400r and see pictures of both revisions

May be it's just matter of different PID, so after adding it in kernel it will work as original version.

I'm planning to build my MiSTer into an arcade cabinet and realised that completely keyboard free operation was going to be difficult so I decided to make a keyboard with just the most frequently used keys needed to navigate the MiSTer menus.

I picked the Polyandry keypad from 40percent.club and created a custom key map for MiSTer using QMK firmware.

The keycaps are what I had spare from an old broken keyboard so are a little bit cryptic. The top six are reboot, user button, F12, 5, space and Alt+F12. The bottom six keys are arrows, escape (Delete), and enter (PgDn).

These 12 keys will hopefully cover most normal usage when loading cores, navigating menus and setting up controllers etc.

Cool! I've been wanting to make a mini keyboard like this; I'm waiting for a small keypad and custom keycaps to try it out, will post once it gets here (could be weeks to post from China...)

I have the Rii i4.
I mapped the "Home" button to osd, the "Menu" button to bluetooth pairing and the "back" button to esc so I only need to use the keys on the top half for navigating.

This is excellent, didn't realize it was an option. Will have to look into this for sure.

You can almost have the same thing. https://www.pckeyboard.com/
Unicomp are the ones who have the old IBM patent which they bought from Lexmark who in turn got it from IBM when they speareted.
There are some changes like windows key spacesaver with much less plastic overhang on top and left/right, usb or p/s2 cable.

They ship fast and answer emails fast ordered mine spacesaver 2011/12/21 (as in 21 dec learn to write dates right damn US :) ).
It was made and shipped 22 got it here 27 and most of the time it was in sweden.
And it is what i use for the mister the few times i need a keyboard.
Would use it for my daily/gaming pc but the model M have only 2 key rollover which is bad in games and it is because how the big backing membrane (with all connections) is made.

This crap thing. Worked ok for about a week then the C, D and E keys stopped working. Apart from that it's fine. No good if your playing say Lemmings on the Amiga and the level password code contains one of those letters then I'm screwed

For normal computing I use a regular Model M via PS/2 - it works a treat!

I'm using XPG SUMMONER Cherry MX Red. It looks pretty dope. The keyboard has a special soft pad for the hands, which can be removed if necessary.
