Is fast polling "harmful" to MiSTer?

Is fast polling "harmful" to MiSTer?

Just wondering if fast polling wears down MiSTer or causes any other harm since it's off by default.

I think it's off by default since some controllers or usb-adapters might start acting up with fast polling on. But I could be wrong :)

It is off by default to ensure maximum compatibility. It does not “wear down” anything.
