Scanline Artifacts on 5x Vertical Crop

Unread post by Ganondork »

Hey there!

Bought a shiny bew LG B9 for a good price and I‘m pretty happy about Vsync=2 and smooth scrolling also for NeoGeo, Dodonpachi and more stuff with strange refresh-rates.

However - Back with my 4K LCD Samsung Vertical Crop x 5 looked great. Now it prduces scanline-artifacts in all cores where it is available, especially visible on white screens like Sega-Jingle or on vertically scrolling games like MUSHA.

Using vscale_mode=1 everything is just greas. With vscale_mode=0 and integer-scaling by core-settings is producing artifacts. Yes, also with crop disabled or when using vh-integer.

This is no gamebreaker for me, because 55 inch is stilö great without 5xcrop, but I really like it on some games. Any ideas? Would love to go for 1440 or 4k to support shadowmask, but unfortunately I can‘t get these to work, although the tv should support the modes, at least when using a pc and gsync.

Found it. Had to change aspect from 16:9
to „Just Scan“ in TV picture-settings. Now everything works just fine.
