vscale_mode on CRT

Unread post by MadDog »

I've seen most settings in the ini do not affect analog displays - only affecting the HDMI functions. Does the vscale_mode affect CRT? I'm having trouble telling if it's doing anything. Trying to get analog as close to the real consoles as possible, but I'm not seeing any change when I flick through the options on this setting. I can see it's changing over HDMI, but nothing on my CRT... I think... am I going crazy?

vscale_mode will only affect CRT if you have vga_scaler enabled, and all of the HDMI effects will be output through the VGA port (including your HDMI resolution setting). If you want original analog signal, that's already what comes out of the VGA port and you shouldn't need to adjust anything.

I see. This confirms both: these settings DO only affect HDMI and I'm also crazy.

Thanks for responding! :)
