is there a patreon to support for x68000? I'm confused as to who is actively working on it right now.

Kitrinx? Puu?

There are a couple of forks that seem to be active. My preferred fork is Kitrinx’s.

Does anyone know what the 登録 key is mapped to?

The 登録 key on the X68000 keyboard is often used to toggle on MIDI mode in games (hold the button while the game is booting). It's right next to the 'HELP' button the X68000 keyboard.

I can't test it right now, but based on skimming the keycode ROMs I think it's Scroll Lock.

Special keys are not mapped for the moment.
It is a known issue and will be fixed.

I'm sure others have commented here - but I've just got the latest core for this and all I get is a garbled type screen.

I can use an early 2021 version of the core and it's fine, but anything after about August and it's scrambled 'junk'. I can see the flashing cursor as scrambled output, so it's booting ok.

Any knowledge on why this would be?

Just want to add that I'm experiencing the same issue, so it's not exclusively your Mister.

If you have gamma correction enabled, try disabling it. I had some similar issues with it enabled.

Thx for the quick answer - unfortunately not the case here. Reset all the settings too, did not solve the issue.

Thanks for the replies.

No gamma correction here, all setting reset.

I thought maybe SDRAM speed issues, but earlier versions work fine.

Same issue here. I'm connecting my MISTER to an LG TV by HDMI, 1920x1080 and 60Hz settings

No problem here on HDMI 1080p 60Hz, 32MB SDRAM. I just updated the core and started it and the OS screen came on. I did not change any setting, I loaded a HDF and started a game, I did the same with D88. So far no difference of behavior, I did not have the time to play any game.

I have the same problem with the garbled type screen. Is it because I use VGA output instead of HDMI? Older builds from puu work fine.

Thank you Sorg, Rysha, wark91, and everyone else involved! ❤️

I guess this core is the closest we'll get to the Sega 'zoomer' titles; Space Harrier plays awesome! ...while Super Hang-On refuses to run

Also, Chō Ren Sha for life! :P

I only pray for CRT TV support on this core, to play the arcade perfect version of Tehkan's STAR FORCE.

softtest9 wrote: Wed Nov 24, 2021 9:41 pm Yes, if the game comes with 2 floppies, you pretty much always run it by putting floppy 1 in drive 1 and floppy 2 in drive 2. If the game comes with 3 or more floppies, it's harder to tell. It could be that it has two floppies for playing and a third floppy for saving progress. Or it might not run at all unless you install it to the harddrive. It depends on the game.
By installing to the harddrive you're talking about within a VHD? Can this be done through the Human68k on the Mister or would I need to send it to my PC to unmount and install it?

Man a video guide on this would be really handy but sadly I don't think there are any on Youtube. Unless you count the one by Pez but that one is extremely dated and doesn't cover the install aspect.

yesterday I tried the core with the same problem in HDMI, I solved it by disabling in the mister.ini: forced_scandoubler = 0 ;)

Barring any bugs, you only need the Human68k floppy images and a blank harddrive image (.hdf?) on the MiSTer. You then boot the X68000 core with the harddrive image and floppies (or it might be one floppy in drive 1) inserted. If it works correctly, you should be greeted by an installation wizard (like when installing MS-DOS or old Windows versions) so it's not particularly difficult.

Similarly, games that are designed to be installed on a harddrive will have an installer, so it's a matter of running the installer and following the installation wizard, like you would on Windows.

I've been spending some quality time with this core yesterday and today. Back in the day, I wasn't even aware of the existence of this computer, and this is the first experience I have of using one.

Once I got it set up, everything I tried appears to work well.

Thanks very much to the developers for the work on getting this beast running!

I dont know if updater got the latest x68k rbf, because I tried running akumajou dracula and the top part is stil glitchy with static clouds.

Is it still like this or am I using still old core version?

I don't know about the clouds, but there are glitches in that game still. For example, there's a bunch of random green in the sound test menu. I would just wait for the core to mature more.

The core is shaping up to be fantastic - games look great with shadowmask and custom scan lines. One issue is that using these settings it makes Human OS unreadable.

It's filled here. In fact, I think a pixel or two is cropped out. Are you using integer scaling?

Is there any good x68000 collection available that works well with this core? I only found collections with .dim or .hdm images, renaming them to .d88 does not do the trick.
