New All in one system coming up

Unread post by Ray »

A nice ITX solution to be released in November aims to be cheaper than single components.

These aio are getting stale already, plus the small footprint of the original setup is much more appealing (to me at least) even if a mini itx solution is def better than other crappy iterations. Not having a better audio DAC tho is criminal and idiotic at this point.

I wouldn't expect a good pricing since for the past 2 years, the price of the DE10 nano went up by 50 to 100% depending on where you live. And all in ones are 400$ on average when it was 250/300$ 2 years ago... It's a bit crazy right now on that front to be honest. I can recommand the Mister as a beautiful retro all in one for 250/300$ but not for 500$ (it might get there by next year sadly :( )

Speak for yourself :D I find cable management from every angle pretty much negates the "small footprint" of the stack!
Personally I'm just waiting on availability between this and the heber board!

I always speak for myself, I won't stop you from buying a spaceship case for a 5 cm board :D

If we leave availability aside, I would take what best suits my project. MMS is more based on console, has an expansion slot and brings 128MB Ram modules with it. The board shown here is more PC case compatible, also as far as the power connection is concerned, but has no expansion slot and no 128MB Ram. I personally ordered the MMS.

But I'm also looking forward to a prize. Especially because it seems that the Mistix should no longer be produced because it was too expensive.

I know you're joking, but if I was filthy rich, once the superscaler core is developed I think one of those big moving afterburner cabinets would be a dream mister setup (assuming there was some way to support it of course) :D
I'm just always seeing people rubbishing these types of boards in favor of the spaghetti stack, each to their own, I just want to show there is support for the larger, tidier pojects!

Yeah, I already have a RAM module and i/o board but don't use it as much as I'd like due to it being an ugly pain to leave set up, so the MMS would be paying again for RAM, I'm super intrigued about the expansion slot, since that is very specific to that board, and how much it will be supported. I love the idea of it but waiting to see how it actually plays out.

nice, i was looking at the website but seems i cannot order this product yet?
also any specific type of atx power supply recommended?
guessing that any decent brand gold / platinum power supply in the lower ranges will do the trick?

is there any manual available for this pcb and does the power switch do "instant on/off" or "instant on / 3 second off"?

when can i order one?

Think that Manual will follow, no Preorder yet. Think that a pico PSU is more than enough for this. There is a short video on his site, too. It shows the modes of the Power switch Button.

That sounds very exciting. I think that the first batch will sell out very quickly due to the general shortage of components. Guess that 50 pieces per Batch are produced.

the good news is no big wait times with making a small batch, and only selling what can be made in a month, i will see soon and decide.

We will see if the intervals between the batches will also be as short. When I read that the procurement of components at MMS took between 6-8 months and that the crisis is currently probably not easing due to the time of year ...
