Guncon 2 and PSX Core

Unread post by zoopster »

Hi

Is there a video or step by step instructions for using a Guncon 2 on the PSX Core? I've got the USB port and yellow cable connected to green input via a BNC splitter and have managed to configure the Guncon 2 via F10. But no luck getting the Guncon 2 to work when the input is set to Guncon in the PSX core.

Thanks
John

Do you have it working in other cores? If not, start there.

This video runs through serring up and using it in general. No PSX specific instructions though.

Edit: Tested qiuckly with Guncon 3 and I can get the crosshairs to move, but didn't have the correct button mapping to get the triggers to work correctly. Just selected Cuncon under Pad 1 in the menu.

Double Edit: Remapped buttons and got it working, PSX core could definitely use some sort of update to the button mapping screen to indicate what buttons correspond to Guncon buttons. The SNES core does this, (e.g., A=SS Trigger, B=SS Turbo or whatever). For now, you just kind of have to guess.

After calibrating the gun within the core (f10 from the mister menu with the core loaded), map inputs as:

Circle: maps to Trigger
Start: maps to A (left button)
Cross: maps to B (right button)
