Controller Not Recognised

Unread post by ponder »

I just purchased a Madcatz SFIV Arcade Fightstick which has been modified with Sanwa parts.

It works fine on my Linux Desktop but isn't even registering any input on the MiSTer.
I am using the Define joystick buttons section on the main config screen first.

When I look at the system it's mounting in /dev/input/js0 but other than that it seems invisible.

I know this is an older post...

I have the same stick (8818, PS3 Version). Wanted to use it with RetroPie when I got it. Back then it didn't work. Had to use
https://github.com/karlvr/MadCatz2Jstick

Maybe there is a way to make it work in MiSTer as well?

Little update:

I "modded" my stick by putting one of those "zero delay usb encoders" in it. It was easy enough for me to do and it works great.

I have a Madcatz Xbox Street Fighter Edition and even though it worked with a Raspberry Pi I could not get it working with the Mister FGPA.

I tried everything then I decided to try a different power supply.

I bought off Amazon a 5v 3a supply and then it burst in to life.

This is the one I purchased
