Not sure when this started but it seems like games changing horizontal resolution is causing some kind of freeze effect on USB controller input. If you fire up the 240p test suite, go to the grids menu and then change the resolution, the controls become unresponsive for a second or more (including being unable to bring up menu.) The introduction for Shadow of the Beast is worse since it constantly changing resolution, and the freezes are accompanied by the music halting and some other strange sound playing before the change happens. (this is audible over analog out!) This all used to work fine before, I've tried flipping various video settings (vscale_mode, vrr, crop overscan, v-integer), but nothing seems to make a difference. This is also not a problem I am seeing in other cores like say Genesis where you have resolution swaps in Sonic CD.
