Portable HDMI Screens for Vertical Alignment

Unread post by jamespo »

I'm considering getting a portable HDMI screen like the MSI Optix MAG162V so I can easily vertically align it.

Does anyone else run a similar setup?

I got that same monitor last summer and I used it with my MiSTer while on holidays. I also bought a foldable laptop stand and managed to use the monitor in vertical (tate) mode. Make sure not to let the side buttons get pressed while the monitor rests on its side.
On a side (no pun intended) note, I managed to run the whole setup on batteries using two 15000mA power packs.

Looks good, thanks.

I recently powered my mister from a pinepower PSU (recommended btw) which shows the power draw and it's ridiculous how light it is.
