Samsung F27T702QQI (2560x1440) Main Menu Glitches

Unread post by yarodin »

At the main menu and 2560x1440 only I have strange glitches at upper right corner of Samsung F27T702QQI monitor. Is it a normal behaviour?

Same glitches on 1920x1080@60 too, but less (barely visible) and it position is lower on the screen but range is widely. Any ideas?

2560x1440 is beyond the resolution that the HDMI chip on the Mister is rated for. You may or may not get lucky and have it work

I've had weird sync issues on my C1 in the menu core using video_mode=8. If I spell it out though (video_mode=1920,1080,60) then they go away. You might try that. (Although I don't think that works for 2560x1440. Best you can do is video_mode=1920,1440,60.)

Setting resolution to 1920x1080@50 eliminated this glitches completely in my case. Thanks to all for advices.

Its all a silicon lottery. You may get the chip knocked out on a friday afternoon after lunch time drinks the fab machine went to, or get the one where it was bright eyed and bushy tailed.

Sadly you never know till you have the chip, which is why the over clocking brigade on PC have to check many chips to find the "One" chip that can go the fastest
