Universe BIOS Cannot Get to Menu ABC Doesn’t Work

Not sure when this started because I just updated my mister after a few months away, but uni-bios no longer lets me get into the menu by holding abc, either holding each individual button or pressing the ABC macro. I've replaced the uni-bios in the roms folder with another copy and that didn't do anything.

I fixed it by deleting neo-epo.sp1 and reinstalling it

Hi

my procedure...
Just start NeoGeo
Select the Game.
Normal boot and start game.
After game is running -- reboot game and ABC for
Unibios is working

well done .... since today my solution dont work anymore. Cant get into unibios.
I checked the forum here for the neede files....
In my gamesfolder are only

000-lo.lo
sfix.sfix
sp-s2.sp1 (MVS)
neo-epo.sp1 (AES)
uni-bios.rom

and im using a zip for games where the *neo files where in it ...

When you say you press ABC...are you pressing all three buttons at the same time or are you using the separate mapping for an ABC button?
I have found that pressing the "ABC" button works more often then pressing and holding down the A, B and C buttons.
I have the same issue on my MVS-4 were I have to time it just right with the key presses.

mostly i use the a b c at the same time. No macro....
I also deleted the neo-epo.sp1 file and reinstalled it.
If i start a game and get into it.... Than reboot the system
than i can get into the unibios. So maybe there is a bug
in the first boot sequence???
