In case you haven't heard, FPGAzumSpass has been further working on the core and fixed a bug in his code that fixes the issues with Conker's Bad Fur Day and Star Wars Battle for Naboo (no ROM patches needed). I don't think it is in update_all yet.

Re: N64 Core
I watched the latest VSE video and he mentioned that a new N64 turbo core has been released. I don't use Discord, so I'd greatly appreciate it if anybody could release the new turbo core here. Thank you.

Re: N64 Core
It should be noted the Core Author says this about the Turbo Core on Discord
it's silly to patch games that don't work with the turbo core just for convenience. The Turbo core was never meant to be used for all games and i can really not recommend it for that. Pesonally I used it less than 10% of the time i play with it. That's about how far i trust it. I only use it if a game is otherwise unplayable for me
So dont rush to the Turbo Core. The Original core is the better way to Play.

Re: N64 Core
I remember reading on the vampier site that Y/C support was in the works for N64. Is that still the case?
I think that's more up to the end user to decide
Re: N64 Core
What's the difference between the original and the turbo core? I mean, what can I see as a player? Is it described somewhere?
https://github.com/MiSTer-devel/N64_MiS ... /README.md doesn't say it.

Re: N64 Core
Some games will play at a more consistent framerate, some will play at higher framerates, some won't have any benefit at all. There's no harm in trying it out and having fun with it.

Re: N64 Core
I put the turbo core in
Code: Select all
/media/fat/_testing/
Or
Code: Select all
/media/fat/_Unstable/
I don’t remember which. I don’t think it really matters but I’m leaning towards _testing

Re: N64 Core
This has probably been asked before but how do I fix controls in Perfect Dark? Moving the analog stick up/down moves the camera instead of walking forward/back.

Re: N64 Core
You have not mapped the joystick correctly. Map it in main mister and in the core when it says left/right its referring to the DPad not the analog stick
Re: N64 Core
The funny thing is, I've played Perfect Dark when it came out. Finished it on all difficulties as a kid.
But I don't remember having to use the dpad for movement at all. And I can't imagine how that actually worked
edit
Did some Googling, the dpad movement was an alternate control scheme. So why is it necessary here?
