Sunset Riders

Unread post by seastalker »

I am still on my high of knowing I have Shadow Dancer and Moonwalker brand new to play with... and now Sunset Riders?? I am thankful to ALL creators and helpers from the outside on the MiSTer project but wanted to publicly say a HUGE thank you this month especially to Jotego and his team for knocking down THREE of my most wanted/hopeful cores, and so close to each other.

THANK YOU JOTEGO AND TEAM!!

It was May of 2022 when I posted in the 'Wishlist of Cores You Would Like to See in the Future' thread and so much now has happened...

Once the Atari lineup (S.T.U.N. Runner, Hard Drivin' series, Pit Fighter, APB) is done, and a handful of Sega titles that should fit (Thunder Blade, Power Drift, Rad Mobile- Puyo Puyo series and System 32 Spiderman), I'm actually running out of titles I remember that would fit and I am looking forward to. Maybe.. Lost World, Revolution X and if Laserdisc games could work...

I'm just amazed at how far MiSTer has come.

I'm also grateful to Jotego for these games, specially Sunset Riders, one of my favorites of all time. I have been playing it and enjoying it a lot, I only got some graphical glitches but they don't affect the gameplay. Keep up the good work!

Has there been any word on the "ghost sprites" being fixed? It's been reported on GitHub, and he responded, but I don't think it's been addressed.

We need arcade cores of these games similar to Sunset Riders...

Wild West C.O.W.-Boys of Moo Mesa

Mystic Warriors

I'm not sure how realistically doable these two games are for the MiSTer FPGA system though.

Personally, I'm pretty pysched about Bucky O'Hare making it to the MiSTer, someday. Such a fun game.
But still, any word on those ghost sprites? I know it's in beta. I'm guessing it will be cleared up before it's made public?
