Tekipaki Working Love Bug?

While playing Tekipaki Working Love, I noticed a few bugs.
In some situations, audio (built-in sound source? PCM?) is not output.
・"Tekipaki Working Love, Myaon" Voice during CD loading.
・Sound of the scene in the ending collection in the Omake menu
and, in the scene in the ending collection on the bonus menu, it can not return to the menu after playing the scene.

Please provide the following:
1) What version of the core you are testing with. Is it the last release (roughly April 2024), or one of the recent bugfix versions ?
2) your hardware settings for video and audio (for example, sprites settings, cdrom seek speed, sound volume settings for the various sources)
3) whether or not you have Arcade Card enabled.
4) instructions on how to recreate these items. Ability to recreate issues is vital to identifying all pertinent information about an issue in order to address it.

When I return home from travelling next week, I can test on original hardware versus MiSTer.

This issue was caused by turning off the sound in the game's settings.
Turning "Sound On" in the game's settings resolved the issue.

・Sound of the scene in the ending collection in the Omake menu
The same problem occurred both with and without the arcade card.
The problem only occurs with the "Ending Collection" in the "Omake" menu.

OK, then this is not an issue - you are only talking about the one below.

I have tried to recreate this report, but I cannot access the "Ending Collection".

1) I started the game, and went through the introduction section (including the introduction of the girls)
2) I finally got to the system menu and did a "save".
3) After this, the "Omake" menu item became available.
4) Selecting the "Omake" menu item only gives "System shoukai" (introduction) as a choice, no "Ending Collection"

Based on this structure, I think a person must complete the game in order to get "Ending Collection" to appear.
Can you provide a save data file so that I can test on both real hardware and MiSTer ?

If a special save file is not needed, please explain how to get this menu to appear.

"Tekipaki Working Love" has a secret trick called test mode（「てすと」モード）.

Here's how to access the "Test Mode（てすと）" cheat:

• On the game mode selection screen, press Left + Select + Run at the same time
• The "Test（てすと）" option will appear on the screen
• Place the cursor on "Test（てすと）" and press I to access the bonus mode (all menus can be selected).

Using this trick seems more effective than providing my poor save data.

I wasn't aware of this cheat - I checked the 2011年秋 edition of 大技林, which has many ウル技, but nothing for this game.

大技林 doesn't have much information for any PC Engine or PC-FX games after about 1995... Could you tell me where you found this information ?
I hope to find other cheats for PC Engine and PC-FX games.

I used your cheat to enable the Ending Collection animations, and tried the first one.
I found that you are correct - this is an issue on MiSTer, but not on real hardware.

On MiSTer, the animation starts with no background music or voice - and at the end of the first part of the scene, it doesn't transition to the next part of the scene (it just keeps a black background). This seems related to either ADPCM playing (and completion interrupt) or CD audio playing (and completion interrupt). It occurs even if "CD Seek" is set to "Fast", so it isn't an already-known issue.

I will make an issue on GitHub, and look into why this is happening.
