Cheers for the heads up!
zakk: if you have any expertise with main, could you add another OSD option to load an extended rom? CD32 has one I believe. Would be good to keep them separate and load correctly into mem, still allowing the A1000 roms to work correctly in the memory map.
I didn't see a response to this so I thought I'd drop a message based on my memory and tests from a while back.
If you have a 3.0/3.1 rom and the CD32 extension rom, you need to concatenate the two so that the CD32 ext. rom is the first in the file.
e.g. in Windows
copy /b cd32ext.rom+ks30.rom cd32.rom
The core detects the size and puts the ROMs in the correct locations, assuming nothing has changed around that part of the core.

This will break support for the MiSTers CD drive though since it has a built in CD device and such I suspect. I have been using my own CD32 1MB custom ROM for a while and it took a while before I figured out that it was always causing CD stuff to not work.
So unless a custom CD32 Ext ROM is made or the core gets support for... I suspect it would need to be the CD32s Akiko CD controller and / or the CDTVs SCSI CD controller I do not think we shall expect these ROMs to do much good.

Hi Folks, sorry to dig up an old thread - wondering if anyone can point me in the direction of some simple instructions/download to get this going? I noticed the archive.org link had been taken down.

Yeah, it'd appreciate it all set up with a vhd that loads workbench, has the right kickstart and has the CD0: mounted. All this using cd32 emulator, squirrel, copying files to L and C folders. I've got the fullset of the cd32 and cdtv, be great to see them again.
And simple instructions!!
Thanks!

Here's a strange one, The Dangerous Streets/Wing Commander disk boots as a cue bin, but I get a "Not a DOS disk in device CD0" if I convert it to a CHD

Does the core support CHD?

Yes, Liberation Captive 2 CHD works which i'm very happy about as there isn't a WHDLoad installer for the disk version.

You'll be lucky, my similar post below yours went unanswered, I thought it was in the rules to help each other?
Thanks.

Just like to apologise for the post above, wasn't meant to look the way it reads!

JUst had a thought, and it is just that, I've asked Retroplay is this possible, awaiting reply. But, you take say Defender of the Crown CDTV, rip the audio and convert it to something the amiga understands, was that iff format for pics and raw audio I can't remember. Then you'd have to do trickery to create a WHD version, that can play the raw audio at the right time. I guess it require a good bit of hacking the game, but it's an idea. Even if it only worked for DOFT and Xenon2 Megablast.

Has anyone tried ASIMCDFS 3.10 (three.ten) which AFAIK was the last version, to get titles such as DOC CDTV not working with IDEFix97?

I've not, but if you can explain how to, I'll give it a go.
Thanks!

Just FYI, AmigaVision has added this support to the setup now. If you have any questions, ask them in the official thread: viewtopic.php?t=8291

Haven't they just used the work from this thread? They haven't actually added CD32 support to the MiniMig core or anything like that have they? It's just A1200+CD-ROM support from this thread and a nice setup to go with it.

Yes, AmigaVision is using the “work from this thread”. Code was ported into the Amiga core to allow CDDA audio, and we use an existing Amiga tool called cd32emu
with a user-friendly setup to run Amiga CD32 games from disc images. Is that a problem?

Not at all. Interesting. Where does cd32emu come from? It's not a file from IDEFix97 nor ASIMCDFS

I guess it is the CD32-Emulator that comes with IDEFix97.

Guys, we'd love some help on getting games working in AmigaVision for the CD32 side of things. 127 of 156 showing as working currently.
Tracker list is here... https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... id=0#gid=0
ISO, BIN, CHD all load, if you can try any variants of images and options in the CD32Emu loader and let us know what remains broken, or if you've managed to figure out any of those marked red.
I got Wing Commander going today but the colours are messed up and speeds wrong. It slows down to usual speed with "No Instr. Cache" enabled, but colours remain wrong. Would love to play this one.
Be good to hear if anyone can get Lemmings working, whether thats the CDTV version or another. I'm going to test AmigaJays Lemmings disc shortly.
And if you feel games are missing from the tracker (they must be CD32 games) then let us know too. Thanks.

Lemmings is a CDTV game, yes.
