Got to give a heads up the intro to this version ; its brilliant- the space on the CD allows for voice actors , perfect music which sits along the arcade score and improves .. extra story telling . a real opener for final fight fans !
Only got it working today on the mega cd didn’t expect to be so impressed

Yeah, Final Fight on Mega CD is just about the best way to experience the game.

Don't want to be mister negative here, but mega CD version is pretty bad compared to the arcade. The collision detection when actually playing it just feels bad . There are a lot of other versions that are better IMO. It also limits how many enemies can be on screen to i think 4?

I got the jap version and the hack file do I simply place the Pyron hack file into the same folder ?

No, you have to use LunarIPS to patch the first bin file.

Can you tell how did that ? I have 4 files , ccd, cue, . Not a bin file though

You need a Cue/Bin version of the Japanese release of Final Fight.

As mentioned by SegaSnatcher you need to convert the japanese version to get the required bin/cue and then you apply the patch. I have used ipsxp.

The only way I knew I had though was noticing the pyron where it normally says insert coin otherwise would have none the clearer
