After running script update_all, I noticed in the log files following:

Code: Select all

Checking Arcade-DonkeyKong3
New core: DonkeyKong3_20210127.rbf
Checking MRA files
but later no rbf has been downloaded:

Code: Select all

Successfully updated cores:
SEGASYS1_20210218.rbf, 4-D Warriors.mra, Block Gal.mra, Bullfight.mra, Flicky.mra, I'm Sorry.mra, Mister Viking.mra, My Hero.mra, Pitfall II (unencypted, cheat).mra, Pitfall II.mra, Rafflesia.mra, Regulus.mra, Sega Ninja.mra, Spatter.mra, Star Jacker (alt).mra, Star Jacker.mra, Swat.mra, TeddyBoy Blues.mra, Up'n Down.mra, Water Match.mra, Wonder Boy.mra

DonkeyKong3_20210127.rbf is nowhere to be found....only Arcade_DonkeyKong3_20200714.rbf
If check https://github.com/gaz68/Arcade-DonkeyK ... /releases
last one is Arcade_DonkeyKong3_20200714.rbf

Is that normal? From where is pulled that new core?
thx

Do I have to always manually download updated rbfs?
Can I trigger redownload?

I have deleted update_all.last_successful_run and script is still reporting

Checking Arcade-DonkeyKong3
New core: DonkeyKong3_20210127.rbf
Checking MRA files

but it wont trigger download.

Ok found it.

iniside update.ini was this setting -> False. It should true, I guess.

#false for not downloading new cores at all,
#a string value, i.e. "NewCores", for downloading new cores in the "NewCores" subdirectory.
DOWNLOAD_NEW_CORES="True"

thanks for help.

I've been using the update_all script and receiving new cores fine. I've just checked and I don't even have an update.ini file, I do have an update_all.ini file, but it doesn't contain the DOWNLOAD_NEW_CORES setting.

update all script is a crazy one

after 1 month after I got my mister fpga kit and using the update all script, only two days ago it finally downloaded sega system 1 games.

I even googled to see if it was a new system just supported on mister, but I was wrong, since last year actually the support to this arcade was included.
