Does the minimig core have the ability to log into BBS's like the C64 can? I remember going on BBS's on my Amiga 2000 back in the day and would like to do again on the Minimig. Thank you!!

Thanks. I got it working mostly. When I try to dial a BBS from the phone book I get this error message. Out of 8 BBS I have saved in my phone book only 2 will work and the rest I get this error message. Any suggestions on how to fix it?

Thanks!

Shertz, sorry to hijack a bit, can you give me a list of the BBS you are trying to contact. I want to do this too. I used to be online in the 80s on my Amstrad.

Are they definitely still active? Try dialling them manually. It could be an issue with them trying to figure out dns names rather than phone numbers. I'm a bit stumped if I'm honest.

You can use midilink.dir in your linux folder to make an easier phonebook. I had some problems with longer addresses.

I think the format is something like:

001 = mono.org

Then you just dial number 001 and it should take you to mono.org.

If I can get ripterm working I'll be delighted.

Yes, I dial them manually and they still work 🤷‍♂️

Try and replace : with * and see if it helps...

example:
ah-bbs.com*2333

Thank you!! That seemed to help but it also seemed to open some other problems. I have a feeling I installed NComm program incorrectly.

@allyourbasekris do you have an ADF disk file of NComm? I think I might have installed it wrong on one of the VHD's im using and maybe that's why I'm getting errors. Thanks!

Nope, I got it from Aminet. I used the Ncomm3.lha the Ncomm306.lha update and the ncom306pubkey.lha packages.
